We have an Apple family plan that shares storage, but each member (of course) has their own account and devices. I've just realized that hundreds (thousands?) of MY photos show on my husband's phone. Why? How can I prevent this?

I take 10x as many pictures as he does. We occasionally set up a shared folder for something like a trip or a wedding. These are few and far between.

There are series of photos I would never have shared with him - like a family reunion on my side he didn't attend, photos of meeting space at my office, a baby shower. Times he wasn't present, has no interest.

It's not just the odd photo or two. For example, the family reunion is about 50 pictures. The whole set is in his iCloud account/displays on his phone. It's not in any kid of folder, certainly not shared. Just photos on my phone.

I’m using an Apple Watch SE and I wanna be able to make a neat watch face with useful stuff on it and I want to know what app to use for that and if I will have to pay any money to use features and what those pay to use features are and stuff

Also please give me an app that actually changes the face and I don’t have to like keep the app open, like I’m talking about the actual watch face

When I got next dns and configured it on my router and apple devices I noticed the ads in my game went away and would receive a reward, found out you can install it on the Apple tv and did it. Is there any benefit Besides protecting data and web traffic?

Hi !

My ATV 3rg gen (no USB) is connected to my routeur via ethernet and everything seems to work on the ATV side. My laptop (a mac) is connected to the same router via WiFi (same subnet) but I cant cast video to the ATV if the Bluetooth is turned off on my mac. I cant see it in the menu but its ending with an error stating that it cant connect Wasnt airplay to work over the. same network ?

It’s been good two days since someone posted, and I just love this community, don’t wanna see it fade away. My question is why do y’all still use this form factor of an iPhone ?

Okay, I’m thinking of getting a IPhone 13 Pro Max soon, I wanted to know which charging option is better, wired or wireless?

Hey all,

I've had my iPhone 15 Pro Max since launch, and it's been awesome. When I received it, I did all the proper inspections for any issues, and I found nothing, especially with the camera lenses.

The other day I was cleaning the lenses in direct light and I noticed a super tiny, basically microscopic speck of dust in the lower left lens. I did a bunch of camera tests and all of my pictures continue to look great. It was not there when I first received the phone. You can only really see the speck in sunlight/direct light.

I made an appointment at the Apple Store and the Genius who I liked trusted and explained that most likely the speck got caught in there during assembly and has "moved" into focus while using the phone as normal. He explained that this can happen, and unless the camera is causing any issues with photo/video, there's nothing that can be done, which I understand.

I've researched the heck out of this "issue" and read some people even tapped their photo gently against a hard surface to move the dust, and it worked.

Has anyone else ran into this situation? Thank you in advance!

Bit of an odd one really.

I bought a brand new Apple Watch Series 8 45mm Graphite Stainless Steel from a private seller. He was selling it on the grounds that he much prefers his Garmin but in all was absolutely prestine with 100% battery health and AppleCare until next year (still within the period to upgrade to AppleCare+) - we settled on £350.

The place where he bought it from though decided to add a sticker that covers the sensor underneath with the serial number etc.

I tried to peel it but quickly stopped when I realised it was leaving residue.

I didn't want to use a hairdryer in fear that it may damage the back from the heat - is it just a case I need to use rubbing alcohol? Will it damage any seals on the back?

TL;DR without heat, is there any way to safely remove a sticker on the back sensor of an Apple Watch without scratching or damaging?

Choosing between a screen protector from ESR or from JETECH. Anyone got any opinions or experience with either option?

The last time I sent an SMS (fairly sure it wasn't an imessage) to someone was on the 8th June 2023. The furthest message it let's me scroll to is 17th June. Is there anyway to find this message? He has something of mine and this is the only link I have to him I think. Might have some calls with him as well, but my calls only go back to October. Is there any way to see further back?

There's only an option to force 3G, but not 2G. I've been to rural areas where I've got E, and sometimes even GPRS. So yes, my country (Turkey) has coverage.

Is it true that Apple will stop selling certain watches in the United States soon? I have 1 article online but don’t see anything else. Can someone confirm this?

Hey all,

Ever since WatchOS10, AW is a pain to use. I have the AWU2, and like to wear it on my right arm. If the crown faces right, it keeps getting activated by my jacket (both the button and crown) since it’s winter

If I have the crown face left, if my hand is at a 90° angle (getting up from sitting, some machines at the gym, etc) it triggers Siri.

Aside from switching it to my left hand, is there anything I can do to make it behave like watchOS9?

I own a pet care facility and we have a total of 18 employees working there. All have been given iPhone 12s to record the admit sheets of the dogs. Lately, my employees have been complaining about frequent WiFi disconnections from the modem. Every time this occurs, I connect the devices to the next available Wi-Fi, as reconnecting to the same network seems impossible. It seemed to have started from IOS 17, I also updated some of the devices to IOS 17.1.1, but the issue is still there. Is this problem common among iphone12’s running ios17? Is there a way to downgrade to iOS 16? If not, what can I do to possibly fix this?

I have yet to buy an apple watch and my question is this:

Can I set my watch to send me reminders or buzz me until I reach certain temperature?

(Let's say I'm at 36-37celcius, I want it to 'tell' me until I get 37.5.

Hello everyone,

I am possibly thinking about switching my Samsung ecosystem over to the Apple ecosystem because I hear it's much better. Plus, my wife has an iPhone and once my kids are old enough for phones, I'm sure my wife will insist on Apple, so it'll be nice to just have us all on Apple for the features of finding phones and such. Anyway! I was wondering how easy (or not) was it to get used to a square watch on your wrist? I am a 24/7 watch wearer kind of guy, and I hear lots of people rock Apple Watch the same way for various reasons. Anyone find it annoying to get used to? I would probably get the larger one as I have thicker wrists and that adjustable Nike band (I like how there aren't holes you have to adjust to like most normal watches)

Trying to fix my mother‘s iPhone SE. It is not booting up at all and just keeps flashing the Apple logo intermittently. I have tried the volume up and down and side button combinations but nothing happens.

There was a notification on the black screen for system, restore, and an icon to plug into the computer so I tempted to restore over iTunes but now it is literally stuck on the screen, and I can’t do anything to escape it.

Any tips?

Are there varying types or levels of restarts for iPhones, or is there just a single method? For instance, is there a restart option that automatically closes all running apps, offering a more refreshed or cleaner device state? I’m aware I can manually close apps, but I’m specifically seeking a different restart process.

My wife works in an environment where phone noise must be zero and we started setting things up for text/calls from only me goes through to her phone (iphone 12 max)

I set me up on her phone for ringtone and text tone are both turned on for Emergency Bypass.

She then uses the side volume button to silent.

And my text messsages do not come through, wonder why?

the only thing i can think is she needs to leave her volume on and use FOCUS mode (add a new one for "Work" and go that route.

Am i correct here? (the sound switch trumps any embergency setting in Contacts...)

When I turn wrist detection off I have a LOCK option under my control center. Easy peasy! But since I use my Apple Watch 24/7 and love the sleep detection aspect, I also need wrist detection ON for that. I’d rather just keep wrist detection ON all day. So is there a way to be able to lock your watch without taking it off then putting it back on with wrist detection ON?

Thank you for the help!
