I’m sorry - I know there’s a bunch of these posts but I’d really appreciate any advice!! I use an older MacBook Pro for work but it’s at the end of it’s life. The company I work for requires me to use Citrix. I work at a bank and I run 3-4 of the bank’s systems at a time along with multiple Microsoft Office programs (typically 2 sessions of Word, 2-3 sessions of Excel). Nothing super intensive here, although the systems I run can be a lot all at once on my older device.

The Best Buy sales on the base M3 MacBook Pro and 15” M2 MacBook Air are great. The problem is I’m worried about 8GB not being enough but I’m not very knowledgeable about what I’d actually need. Best Buy only has the base M2 Air and base M3 MacBook Pro in 8G. To get a higher memory, I’d have to get the M3 Pro chip with 18GB memory which I can afford but I’m not sure if I actually need it.

Unfortunately I want to stick with Best Buy because I have an iPad trade in they gave me a Best Buy gift card for - so I have a lot of money off if I buy it there.

So, as the title suggests, during workouts, I sometimes experience gaps in pulse reading when reviewing the graph at the end of the exercise. I’ve noticed that the pulse appears gray on my watch while checking. This issue has been ongoing for a few days, so it’s a recent situation. Previously, it consistently read my pulse from start to finish. I came across information suggesting that cold weather can impact pulse readings, as it affects blood flow, leading to errors in pulse monitoring. Is this true? Initially, I thought it might be related to the latest watchOS version. Do you think I should consider getting a chest strap for pulse monitoring?

iPad hasn’t been found in years. I still remember packing it in the car when I was moving house, and think I may have left the doors unlocked. That day I marked it as lost. It’s been so long. I don’t care for it anymore but noticed it in my FindMy app so thought I’d ask the question.

Is it possible for somebody to reset the iPad without knowing the passcode before I marked it as Lost ?

It's in China and their telling me to remove it from find my iphone or they'll hack it obvious scam. I been trying to erase it forever it just says pending. If I remove it from icloud does my content stay on the device if the erase never went through? My password is only 4 digits if they have a way to brute force or guess it I have so much personal information they can access. I don't have the setting on that deletes after guessed passwords.

Can anyone help me with how to make my action button take a screenshot? I have tried using the shortcut app but don’t know entirely how to use it. It will take a screenshot but won’t save it currently.

I can’t see buildings or do the cool 3D thing it’s just gray outlines with streets.

Hey all I’m looking for cheap third party Apple Watch solo loop bands. I used to get them from eBay which was fine, but they used to say exactly how long the band was in mm. Now I can only find sizes listed as S/M/L, regardless of what third party sites I look at. The problem is the small is too tight and the M feels too large for me, which is why I’m looking for a site that still sells bands where you can choose the mm length. Anyone know any sites?

The glass that covers the back camera on my brand new iPhone 13 crack today while sitting in my pocket. The lens of the camera is fine, this is only the glass cover.

I tried looking up videos to repair this, but every iPhone 13 repair video I found shows a different glass cover. They all have a solid piece of glass that covers the entire back side of the phone with cut outs for the lenses and separate glass where each lens sits. My phone doesn't have this, It's a solid glass piece which you can see in the photo.

Does anyone know where I can buy these parts and have tips and how to fix this myself?

This is a standard iPhone 13.

So when I swipe up, it shows me these widgets. But how can I change these widgets? It has currently the "Tips" widget, weather, and activity, but these are useless for me since I have weather and activity on my main watch face.

First setting up my phone, these notifications would show perfectly fine. Now they don’t show anything other than what is seen here. I’ve tried the Face ID work around for Outlook which didn’t help anything. I’ve reinstalled both apps. Anyone know of a solution? This is mildly annoying. TIA

Can confirm that my local Marshalls still has Apple accessory deals! I found some bands, AirTag holders, and yellow iPhone 14 cases all wicked cheap ($16.99, $9.99, $16.99 respectively)… found them in the “great deals always fit” area where they have cases, bands, screen protectors, toys, etc… pretty much anything that’s been there for a while (like a year I think) gets marked down…

the website was mangabuddy, while there were some pop up ads, I didnt click any, read a chapter of a manga i wanted to catch up on quickly and exited the site. Wasnt redirected anywhere either. Im asking because I saw on a reddit thread from about a year ago that mangabuddy had some problems with the site being hacked but that now it has been patched. but im overly paranoid so I wanna ask anyway

I have the latest iOs version, I deleted my browsing and website data and made sure to close all tabs, and I have norton safe search on my phone, norton didnt pick the website up as malicious either, so am I safe?

So I programmed my Apple TV remote, the newest generation one that’s grey and has the siri button on the side, to learn my Sony Soundbar so it can control the volume on that. It’s worked fine for 3 years. Today it stopped. All my other remotes programmed to do volume on the soundbar work fine still. I’ve charged my remote all the way up, I’ve updated Apple TV, and I’ve changed my remote from working the volume on another device and back and it won’t work.

Hi people, I just wanna know how’s your experience with the iPhone 15 pro and 15 pro max, since it got backlash regarding overheating and thermal design issues, titanium build and many more, even though Apple promised to solve it through updates, so are they really gone or there’s still something bugging the phone? Just a question. I’m curious as to what people choose, do people use phone cases or do they use apple care and what’s the reason for your choice? I’m torn between the two. I’m not sure which option I prefer

We have Apple one plan that includes full access to Apple Music. Same song, lyrics option enabled and I can see the lyrics on my phone. She cannot on hers. We tried signing out and back in to store app, disabled sync and enabled, upgraded to latest iOS. Any suggestions welcome, thanks!

I have an iPhone 10 and it’s started having trouble with the charging port. I’m planning on getting a new phone soon, I can’t spend a lot of money because we are kinda broke lol.

Does anyone follow are know the Amazon Apple Watch trends? I’ve been on the market for the series 9 45mm in pink. Ifs currently $359 the lowest I’ve seen it. Do you think it would go lower for Black Friday? Should I wait ? Last night the price was $419 and just on Thursday it was $379. I’m just conflicted if I should wait or not or go for it!

Which do you prefer and why? Personally I think the dynamic island is misplaced and should be at the very top instead.

Hey folks, my Apple TV setup was perfect, and then I updated my phone to iOS 17.1. Now I can no longer change the volume from the remote app. Whenever I press the volume buttons, my phone volume changes, not the Apple TV CEC volume.

The physical Apple TV remote can change the volume perfectly. The remote app has a new “mute” button which also works fine. Finally, if something is playing on Apple TV, I can select it in my control center, and change the TV volume from there (which works oddly??).

But the physical volume buttons on my phone no longer change the TV volume inside the remote app. They always change the volume of my phone.

Anyone else experience this? Any fix? I’m desperate.

Is the 6.8 MB listed here stand for MegaBytes? I tried uploading to a personal server with file size limit at 2 MegaBytes, but upload succeeded. Once uploaded, file extension gets converted from PNG to JPEG and actual size shows as much lower (~ 3.7 KiB).

Any explanations? Happy to give more info if needed.

So I bought an app on my iPhone with a prepaid visa debit and didn’t like it so requested a refund for it. They accepted it, but if you can’t add money to a prepaid visa, how will they give me the money back? Will they add the money to my Apple ID or what? Thanks!

I would really like to quickly see my grocery list by pressing a gosh darn button from my watch face. They even go out of their way to not make the shortcut work. And I don’t need “Due Today”! Holy fudge. Gosh dang it. For Pete’s sake. Shiver me timbers.
