Hi guys, I’ve got a third generation iPhone SE (the 2022 model) and three days ago I finally decided to update from iOS 16.7.2 to 17.1.1 and yesterday I noticed battery health was 97% and before updating it was 99%. I don’t know what’s wrong with it, as this iPhone is only 10 months old. In fact, I bought it in early January this year and I never let it drain completely to 0% and I never let it fully charge to 100%, either. I mean, I charge it when battery is 20% and I unplug it from its charger when it reaches 80%. So I always keep it between 80-20% to extend battery life.

I don’t really get it, since I know people whose iPhones’ battery health still is 100%-99% after a year and mine is 97% after only 10 months.

So any advice would be really appreciated, thanks in advance and have a good day.

I have the Transit app on my iphone and explicitly REMOVED it from my Apple Watch, but I still get notifications on my watch from it! How on earth is this possible?! The only thing I can think of is this: I don't even have notifications enabled on the iphone app but I do have live activities enabled, and maybe that somehow syncs with Apple Watch independent of the notification settings? Can anyone confirm?

I'm tempted to buy an AppleTV to improve my set up. I currently have an LG C9 and the apps are fine but a bit laggy / janky. I've read a lot of good things about how smooth the AppleTV is, however I've also read many complaints (on reddit) about a lot of the apps (e.g. Netflix, YouTube, Spotify) are missing features. For example, the BBC iPlayer app on my TV supports 4k content but I've read that the Apple TV app does not support this (yet).

I get the sense that AppleTV is de-prioritised for development because either, Apple has competing apps (e.g. Apple Music / Spotify), or because Apple's privacy controls are much stricter so they'd rather push the user to other platforms that allow more "spying".

In summary I want to get an AppleTV because of the better UI in general (+ the "reduce loud sounds" feature), but I'm worried the apps are lacking? Does anyone have any insight?

Hello, Im confused here. This morning I tracked an hr of swimming with my Apple Watch but when I looked at my fitness app I had about 30mins of exercise logged from a walk I had gone on. Does the swim not add towards the exercise?

My iPhone 13 ever since I updated to iOS 17 was getting screen retention like crazy. Today I was chatting with my friend on messenger for around 20 minutes at around 30% of brightness and when I quitted the app I could easily see the whole messenger layout on my screen especially at gray backgrounds. Disappeared after a few minutes and then I opened TikTok and after a few minutes the whole UI was on the screen now. Has anyone experienced the same issue? I am already out of the limited warranty.

When i am editing în Photoshop this Windows appears and i Don't know what i did wrong.. Someone had the same probleme?

I have a macbook pro 2016 touch bar and I was wondering: Is there an application to set mobile backgrounds similar to those of macos sonoma?

I compared the M2 with several other CPUs (using cpubenchmark.net) that are in the same money-range and the M2 has a shockingly low score compared to other CPUs. For example, while the Apple M2 8 Core 3500 MHz scored 15416, the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS scored 28917 and the Intel Core i7-13650HX 32119.

I don't know how reliable these benchmarks are, but I wasn't expecting M2 to be so bad. Am I missing something or? I wanted to buy a Macbook air M2 16GB 256GB, since I keep hearing how awesome it is, but now I'm not sure. Someone pls explain.

After getting so many updates, I noticed that Apple still ignored the fact that it’s literally tiring to navigate the settings just to turn on/off location. And I wonder why Apple still hasn’t put this option in the control center(which is more convenient).

I hope they’ll put this up on the next update.🤞🏻

So I got a new iPhone 15 last week and ditched my 11 and its been non-stop issues. First and foremost whenever I get out of my car the phone will not ring anymore and I miss calls galore - have toggled from silent mode to regular and nothing solves this other than turning phone on/off. I cannot even hit certain sections in General such as Bluetooth or Messages as the screen freezes. Apple when speaking with them see it but claim its a glitch in the iCloud...

I was on with Apple for hours, restarted, erased/reinstalled and everything no luck. Still same issues. Now I cannot even connect to my car as it cannot find my phone, really weird, right?

Anyone have similar issues? So sick of this - just want a working phone. Hopefully someone knows something Apple doesn't...

I bought an Anker braided USB A to lightning cable a few weeks ago because my official Apple cables kept fraying.

Anker was the brand recommended to me however, the lightning end seems to be loose. If I nudge my iPhone the connection drops (very annoying as I use it in my car for GPS and once knocked, CarPlay switches off).

Is there an alternative brand I should go for instead? (I thought Anker was the go to brand)

I can understand why Apple may be reluctant to introduce snow shoveling as a workout; getting a dozen software engineers from California to get cups of hot coco to trial it would be a tough sell.

Whereas thousands of people suffer from cardiac episodes directly associated from shoveling snow each year, I would love to see Apple add it in as a safety monitor similar to car crash detection if nothing else.

Does anyone know of third party watch apps which can track snow shoveling in the meantime?

I just got the new AW Ultra and the battery lasted me about a day and a half. Then Without meaning to I turned off the Always On and it’s been 12 hours since last full charge and it just hit 90%…. That’s such a relief.

I just recently discovered that the lighting of the front camera when on video mode is so much better than taking an actual photo. So if you use video instead of photo when taking a selfie... you're actually going to get better results. It's not going to look dark and grayish, AND YOUR PORES AND WRINKLES ARE NOT HIGHLIGHTED. Also, you can just pick the video frame where you look the best.
