Please do not say “choose the one you like”. I dont want to choose something because I like. I want to rationally choose.

My background: I’m a physics student. I’ll use it for programming, editing and writing documents, and a lot of work on the go or on the public transport. I have a budget around 1000€. I would like to have the best for my purpose. Idc about looks or if its agrandma or a teenager. As long as its performing the best for the price. I tend to use it for the next 6 years without any problem.

My options are:

1. Macbook air 2020 M1 processor, 13.1”, 8gb Ram, 256 gb storage Cost: 770€

2. Macbook air 2020 M1 processor, 13.1”, 16b Ram, 256 gb storage Cost: 1050€

3. Macbook pro 2020 Intel i7 processor, 13”, 16gb ram, 512 gb storage Cost: 1040€

4. Macbook air 2023 M2 processor, 15.3”, 8gb ram, 256 gb storage Cost: 1099€

It's a brand new iPhone. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a software issue or hardware one? Should I exchange this for a new one? Is apple going to fix this anytime soon? It goes like crick crick crick whenever I play music

I’ve found myself picking up my iPad and not using the mac at all except for rare scenarios.

Should I hang onto it for the rare case I need it? Or offload it and recoup some value while it still has it?

Any reason to not choose the 15”?

I’m going to work on the app which will use current step counts as a complication to the watch faces.

I currently have an iphone xr and want to upgrade. I change my phone every couple of years so i want something with good performance for general use (usual stuff, light gaming, some photography), good longevity durability and battery life. I’m happy with the screen size of the xr but probably a bit bigger wouldn’t bother me.

I’m in between the 14 and 15 pro and pro max models (so 4 options). Based on their prices and specs which is better value for money and for my needs?

I’m not sure if this the right flair but im looking to buy a sealed Iphone 8 plus for daily use. I’ve looked online and at my local sellers and they have refurbished. The refurbished are top quality with 100% battery health and no viable scratches with the lastest ios updates however I’d still prefer to try and find a brand new sealed Iphone 8 plus. If anyone knows a place where they still might be selling it please let me know.

Can anyone relate?

Currently I have a iPhone 11 which is standing on its last legs. I’m finally in a position where I can afford to buy a new phone but I’m unsure which one I should buy. I was sett on buying a 13 mini since I really would like a small phone but now I’m not so sure.

I was planning on buying it from a refurbishing shop since it’s better for the environment but I’m slightly worried that it will be unsupported way to fast. I’d like to use the phone for at least 4-5 years, so I’m now contemplating whether I should go for the smaller phone or buying a newer one.

I’d really love to hear some opinions, whether or not I should go for a newer phone and which one I should buy in that instance. Thanks for reading : )

I really like have a combined feed of what the household watches (both in queue and recently). However with the latest appletv update, whenever my partner uses her phone to act as a remote, it signs her in. Meaning we then have to switch over to the default account whenever we boot it up.

We almost exclusively use the phone remote over the physical one.

Is there a way to just disable this? I cannot find it. I can see the account can be removed but worried that will impact Apple fitness.

I do some graphic design work in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Between the M2 Pro and the M3 Pro, would I notice much of a difference? Or would a MacBook Air M2 with similar specs suit me ok?

I use a 2019 i9 at work with 32 GB of RAM. But I am not going to be pushing my personal machine as hard. At home I use an ancient 2009 MacBook with 8 GB RAM, so anything will be an upgrade.

I recently got the iPhone15 pro( I use to have the 12 mini) and hate the front camera it makes my pictures a lot darker and blurry? I’ve heard the 14 pro has a similar problem for the front camera. People who like to take selfies which phone do you prefer?

I am planning on buying a 7.1 audio setup in my new apartment with a Dolby Atmos compatible receiver (DENON AVR-X2800H DAB). I will mainly use this setup to watch movies and shows on my Apple TV 4K via the Apple TV app. Most movies and shows on Apple TV have 2 available mixes: Dolby Atmos and 5.1.

What would happen if i played a Dolby Atmos & 5.1 compatible movie on my 7.1 setup? Will the Dolby Atmos mix adapt to my non-Atmos setup and output a 7.1 mix, or would it go for the 5.1 mix and leave my rear speakers silent? I am trying to figure out if getting a 7.1 setup for my Apple TV is worth it or not.

Yes. This is as crazy as it sounds. My wife just called me saying it looks like someone is remotely entering passcodes in her watch to the point it is showing “next attempt in 5” minutes.

She saw the numbers on the passcode screen act as if they were being pressed.

I had her clear and reset from the watch app on her phone.

Any ideas here? I can’t find anything about this.
