Had my series 8 for just over a year now and I never really get more than one day to a day and a half, which I knew going into it.

Recently, the battery life has been very poor, I'm not sure if it's to do with recent updates or whatever but I'm getting approx 16-18 hours now.

Anyone in a similar boat?

Ever since upgrading to the new iOS every time I listen to a podcast or music and use safari or apps my volume will randomly go down. I have no idea why! Help!

I dropped my phone and the back of my phone cracked, I did have a case on, I never bought AppleCare and it’s been a year since I bought my phone so I don’t think I can add AppleCare now. I’ve heard they’ll inspect your phone if you want to add AppleCare 60 days after buying your phone and people have told me not to go to a random phone fixing place to get it fixed. Im confused to what I should do. Should I just leave my phone as is or will it start breaking down/glitching after some time?

Yesterday I received a few calls from my mother while at work, I was connected to a shared Bluetooth speaker disconnected from it by turning Bluetooth off and I took the calls came back inside and a few minutes later, a coworker had connected to the speaker their iPhone then called my mother who isn’t in their contacts list at all. I have an IPhone SE with the new iOS 17, they have an IPhone 14 Pro with the new iOS 17 we aren’t linked in any way. Why would their phone be calling numbers from my contacts?

looking for some help here with a complicated and unusual problem. My employer went bankrupt and as part of our severance package we were allowed to keep all our company devices, including a MacBook Air M2. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

Well, there’s one catch - the device is enrolled into Apple’s MDM and it’s functionality is severely limited due to that, the main caveat being that the App Store/installing any software is blocked.

I was hoping that the devices get unenrolled from MDM once the company closes, but unfortunately this didn’t happen and since the company is now closed, so is the IT department who could help with the issue.

Is there any possibility to remove the device from MDM without the non-existent IT department of my previous employer? I have a letter confirming that I own the MacBook from the company which I could show to Apple if that helps. Or will the MDM program run out at some time in the future, if the company account doesn’t exist at Apple anymore?

I am looking at getting Applewatches for my wife and 16-year-olddaughter for Christmas. I know nothing about them. From my understanding the 8 and 9 are the newest however a bit out of my price range. Is there anything wrong with this version? I understand it may not have all of the features of the 8 or 9. IDK if this is even a proper place to ask this, so sorry if it's not, but: I'm looking for a good wireless mouse for playing games on my MacBook Air (a little over 2yo at this point, up to date on OS updates if that makes a difference). Everything I've tried so far is laggy AF and drives me crazy. I mostly play simulations and simulation-adjacent stuff on Mac (TS4, GSS, Cities II etc), so it doesn't need a crazy accuracy and response time, but it would be nice if it was at least smooth. Any recs?

How can we check the audio details of a movie in the Apple TV app? If the same movie is available in one of the channels it's showing those details by default.

im replacing the battery on my apple watch series 4 soon and if i replace the seal with a 3m 300lse seal will it still be waterproof afterwards? the 3m 300lse tape apparently has a really strong bond strength and water has no affect on the tape.

Hey all - I am a video editor by day, photographer on my free time. Usually dealing with h264 files either from a Sony or GoPro, with occasional RED or other codecs. RAW for photo. Working in Premiere, After Effects, and Resolve. Lightroom + PS for photo.

I have FCPX and would use it if the industry adopted it, but alas. So that speed doesn’t get taken advantage of.

Here’s the kicker. I currently have a Mac Studio M1 Max with 64gb ram. I absolutely love it and have no intention of replacing it. I am, however, replacing a 2019 intel i9 MBP, which used to be my main machine and now became a side.

I want to continue the desktop + side machine (I believe the Studio likely has better cooling, allowing it to run difficult tasks for much longer without complaining, and more bang for buck). Given the new M3 release, Black Friday deals on Airs, and refurbished, I’m a little torn between an M3 MBP, or an M2 Air or MBP.

Keep in mind I’d like to spend somewhere between $1200-$1500, looking for something small and complimentary to the studio. My goal is to have something capable of continuing an edit while traveling, or getting out of the house for a bit. The i9 was bulky for a side machine, slow, hot and loud. That being said, I’m interested in bang for buck on base models, not maxing out chips.

It comes up under “my name Library” on the iPhone and IMAC but on the Apple TV I have to use the computers app to access my content. Any possible way to consolidate it to the Apple TV app?

I am looking for a vibrating alarm that can actually wake me up. I often get insufficient sleep and consequently am sometimes not easily woken by vibration from my nearby iPhone SE 2020, nor by this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK4X44SJ vibration alarm watch, which hasn't worked for me and which I am going to return. I'm hoping that a cheap Apple Watch SE (thank you, u/Responsible_Goal_360 for the tip that Wal-Mart will have one for $179 this week!) can be programmed with repeated vibrating alarms that will eventually wake me, without disturbing my bed partner.

Currently I use the iPhone to have a vibrating alarm, then 5 minutes later a gentle instrumental song alarm, then 5 minutes later a typical still-gentle lyrics song, and that has generally worked for me. However, I'm hoping something similar will work (potentially with increasing strength of vibration, which allegedly may be possible), and will appreciate experienced/knowledgeable comments about such.

Hi there! I'm completely ignorant about Apple Watch and smartwatches in general, I've gifted an 8 to my partner. She has a very active life working outside as farmer, looking at the bands available I've seen the Spigens Lite Fit Ultra or the DuraPro Flex. First one looks a bit too tight if she has to wear and remove everyday (i.e. having a shower), the other one could be annoying because of the buckle.
Does anyone have any experience with these items? Otherwise can you suggest something for an active person?

This may be a “no duh” post, but recently I turned off HDR on my 2nd gen 4K Apple TV. I’m running a TCL 65” 4 series. It has hdr 10 but it’s not FALD. I always had HDR on because it felt like that gave me the best image. I was shocked when I turned it off and got better color accuracy and better contrast out of the tv. Feels like a gimme that you shouldn’t use HDR without FALD or Mini LED, but I am much happier with the setup now

My Apple Watch just updated to 10. You can’t swipe the faces anymore you have to hold press, faces get smaller and then you swipe. It took me 45 minutes to figure out that I wasn’t doing something wrong in the settings. Apple just decided to change the convenience of swiping. Apparently many people were having the faces change on their own and it was inconvenient for them. Well, it’s very inconvenient to have to press and hold the faces to switch. And by the way, I can’t figure how to get the weather back the way I had it. Compared to these other threads with serious life problems. This may seem minor. But it still bothers me.

So I recently bought a new phone and got the 3 months of Apple TV included with it. But there’s also a trial for 3 months included with my PlayStation 5. Will these stack if I claim both of them? Or will it just be 3 months total and merge them

Is there a way you can create an apple music playlist from your phone and have the same list available when you access the app from the apple tv app and vice versa.

This may be a limited audience, but is anyone having an issue with the now “legacy” Tablo OTA app after iOS 17.2?

Mine tunes in, works for about 2 minutes, then spins and eventually goes black.

Works fine on my FireTV and Roku. I noticed there was an app update, but that seems to have made things worse.

I emailed Tablo, but have not heard back.
