Anyone have a fix for this? I can’t turn on face id for any apps that previously had it, and when i tried to do mobile deposit within my banking app, there was no way to approve camera permissions.

My son tried to rest his phone and now it's asking for the iCloud user id password. We received this phone from my mother. It was here old phone, we figured gramas old phone is perfect for my son's first phone. After a while the phone was running slow. He thought that resetting it would make it better. So now it's asking for my mother's password. My mother passed 6 months ago. I explained this to Apple and I was told to summit documents to Apple support. ( Her id, old cell phone bill with proof that she was the owner, death certificate and my info showing I'm here son) phone was already paid off. Apple emails me that the phone was denied unlock. No reason as to why. I don't get apple. Why would I go through all of this to scam apple for a SE 2020. So here I am, if anyone knows of a way to help me please let me know.

I think Apple Watch should have a “I’m sick” feature. It should then display notifications like “today you burned only 200 active kcal, good job! Keep it down and you’ll be healthy in no time!”. Or reminders to stay hydrated.

It just feels stupid when I spend whole day in bed feeling like shit and then the Watch sends me a friendly reminder it’s not too late to close my rings.

Not to mention this “stay on the move” culture starts to get ridiculous.

What other notifications would you see in this mode? Doctors appointments? Reminders to sleep more?

Just curious what iPhone you wish the next SE was based on.

Don't get me wrong i love my apple tv 4k, but because of the aggressive and predatory adds on YouTube app i was forced to use the AndroidTV of my TV, it allows me to use SmartTube instead of the normal app and finally i can watch videos in peace. Its a bummer but i wont be coerced to pay extortion.

aw s7 45mm stainless and steel silicone strap vs aw s7 41mm stainless steel and milano steel strap vs aw s9 44mm aluminium.
Which one would you choose? They're all pretty much the same price.

I bought this iPhone 11 3-4 month ago and battery capacity says it’s on 98 but some kind of short cut tells me it’s on 94😭😭 why did it dropped so fast? And what can I do? I don’t charge it more then 2 times a day.

I have a couple usb c to usb c cables which all work fine, but none of my usb a to usb c cables charge my iPhone 15 pro. Any ideas?

I’ve personally experienced all of these, but I tend to lean towards the primary 26/28mm the most on my 15.

So, from my reasearch, Infuse doesnt support Atmos for Airpod Max or any of Apple's headphone line thru the AppleTV4k box. Infuse convert everything to "Mutlichannel". ("Multichannel" is what the Control Center reads in tvOS17)

Is this something they are working on?

How much different does Atmos sound vs "Multichannel"?

Is there a difference in sound when the file is in Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 vs. DD+ 5.1 ? vs. TrueHD 7.1?

Im looking to purchase a smart watch and I have a garmin forerunner 245 music with my Ip15PM But im considering upgrading to a newer smart watch and im unsure if i should go with the series 9 Reason being, garmin has better information regarding body recovery and like sports stuff. While i personally feel series 9 is more for just daily use and communication. I know the s9 tracks sleep etc as well but hmmmm

Looking for the best watch to get for my grandma with black Friday coming up. She's getting up there in age so I want to get her something with some sort of fall detection and maybe other age/health benefits. What watch should I get her? Obviously she doesn't need the newest model, but I'd like to get her one that has the features mentioned above. Thanks!

I’ve seen people in this sub post pics of them wearing the alpine loop in different ways.

Some folks have the ribbed loops on the bottom of their watch (like my image). Some folks have it on the top of their watch.

What’s the general consensus on the right way to wear it?

Also, since I know people are going to say I’m wearing an iPad on my wrist….

…Yeah….I’ve got small wrists, but I’ve BIG WRIST ENERGY!!!

Hey! Galaxy Note 10+ owner here, and been really considering switching to apple and Iphone 15 pro. Two biggest reasons for my change would be 120 Hz screen and a smaller phone in general. So my question is,how is the "promotion" on Iphone 15 pro with the latest updates? I did some research and apparently not all apps run with 120hz and in general the refresh rate changes a lot to conserve battery. I would prefer my next phone to run at 120hz pretty much all the time. So any info would be apperciated. How is the refresh rate on social media, general scrolling, news reading, videos, gaming etc. Thanks in advance!

Last month I bought an iPhone se 1gen of 64gb because my phone got stolen and I needed a new one right away but one thing I noticed was that the system data that supposedly is cache data started filling up very fast and my phone just kept telling me that my storage was full and what I did was reset it multiple times but I'm not talking about resetting it once a month I'm talking about resetting it daily and everytime I reset it and set it up again it does the same thing over and over again and it only has one app downladed that is whatsapp and this is driving me crazy I've tried to restore it by iTunes to try a completely new apple id on it and it just does the same, does anyone have an idea of what's going on?

Not necessarily based on statistics. I've been an Android user since my very first phone and I'm looking to join the apple ecosystem. Better processors, better cameras, better screens etc. I'm looking to buy a refurbished 13 mini as it fits my needs very nicely and I prefer smaller phones. Are the prices to drop maybe till mid-December 2023, early January 2024? What do y'all think?

AT&T enticed me with a free Galaxy S23 if I trade in any older Galaxy series phone. So, I found one on eBay for $40 and traded it in for a new Galaxy S23. I put my SIM in the new phone and committed to using it for the next month. And now, I'm having trouble trying to convince myself to move back to my trusty iPhone 13 Pro.

I've been an iPhone user since the iPhone 6 when Apple finally came out with a suitably larger screen. I've since added an iPad (latest model), multiple series of Apple Watches, the Apple TV 4K (latest model), and a couple of M1 Macs and a couple of HomePods to my iCloud hardware list. But this one free Android phone has me questioning my previous choices for the following reasons.

  1. Although it really doesn't affect me, I am still bothered by the fact that Apple has deliberately chosen to use like 18 different screw types and sizes in their hardware, all in an effort to thwart customers from repairing hardware they've purchased.
  2. Going further with the first reason, Apple has added serialization of hardware parts and even added false error messages to the OS if you replace like-for-like pieces.
  3. Although Siri is helpful on a hardware level, she's often downright useless when asking general questions. If I had a dollar for every time, she's told me "You can ask again from your iPhone..."
  4. Something I learned recently after powering off my iPhone is if I ask Siri via my HomePods for the time or to confirm "who am I" she responds just fine, but she refuses to add anything to my shopping list if my iPhone is powered off. I know Siri on the HomePods is still connected to the internet because she can tell me about the weather for the day. This odd reliance on a smartphone to perform simple tasks is something my Google Nest speakers don't suffer from.
  5. Google Assistant is actually part of the Google alarm clock on Android. This means, when the alarm goes off in the morning, I can have Google Assistant automatically set the thermostat, turn off the bedroom fan, set the headboard lights to 10%, and then tell me the current weather, and go over the first few items on today's calendar. I'd have to muck about in iOS Shortcuts hoping to cobble together the right ingredients to get this working on an iPhone.
  6. When watching Apple TV, I'll ask Siri on the HomePods to pause or unpause what's playing on the TV. She often does exactly that, but sometimes she remarks "Nothing is playing" or she'll start playing music "Okay - here's a station just for you" instead of unpausing what's on TV.
  7. iCloud syncing takes WAY too long to upload or coordinate photos and videos. Four items often take 30 minutes on the iPhone-to-iCloud sync, yet on the same iPhone, Google Photos is already completed.
  8. Google Bard is already making inroads on Android. It's very handy to get an A.I. summary of a website generated (when I want it). We keep hearing about Apple's A.I. purchases, but their approach is so cautious, I'm afraid they'll be way behind when Siri finally gets an upgrade.
  9. Folding phones - where are they, Apple?
  10. The application sharing of Android with Windows 11 (I also have a couple of Windows 11 PCs) is actually better than iOS with MacOS. Phone Link gives me access to every application installed on my S23 while on MacOS, I can only run apps that have been designed to (also) work on the desktop. I can text, share pictures, access Google Assistant, and run all my S23 applications right from the Windows 11 desktop.
  11. Apple is (incredibly) caving to years-long pressure (and embarrassment) to finally adopt RCS for non-iMessage texts. This removes a pretty big barrier for many people who would otherwise never switch from an iPhone. For the most part though, I notice I really don't miss iMessage or even FaceTime.
  12. Will I miss Apple's in-store support? I can tell you I've never had to bring in my iPhone for any hardware repairs and I know enough about the software and how to research problems on my own that I've never needed help from an Apple Genius. I suppose I'll be just fine with Samsung support - if I ever need it.

Purchased an A1989 MacBook Pro back in 2019. Have been using it ever since as a daily driver. Noticed unusual colour gradients this morning as per the photo. Has my computer succumbed to the dreaded Flexgate issue?

I woke up and the phone was super hot and wouldn't turn on. Even after moving it to a cooler place it hasn't responded at all to the power button or to charging. Is there anything I can do?

Most of them are official Apple cases except the two on the left (Bullstrap & Ryan London)

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max running latest iOS.

Whenever I take a photo I end up with two photos (one with an E in the file name) and a .AAE file. So 3 files for one photo. I used to be able to turn off hdr but the settings make no difference nowadays. I have smart hdr off in phone settings and on the camera app itself I have hdr off too.

My issue is that my storage is being used rapidly, and as I use windows explorer to cut photos from my phone to my laptop I’m finding the .AAE files won’t delete so are creating loads of useless artefact files in my iPhone.

How do I turn off hdr? The iPhone settings used to work but haven’t for several months. Many thanks.

If iMessage is supposed to be the premium texting app then when are we going to get the following?

Bold Italics Underline Strike through Different fonts Different color texts Different sized texts

Blackberry Messenger had all of these things YEARS ago.

Looking for a wireless charging pad - ideally for two objects - that I don’t need to be so delicate about how I place the phone.

With my little iHome charger, I have nightly negotiations in hopes it works and that a ghost doesn’t bump it during the night to make it not charge
