Hello <3 I'd like to learn how to create music with ableton live and I would also love to learn how to create animations.

To keep space and for convenience I'm looking for a thin laptop. I've been looking into the macbook air 15''. I know pro is better than air for these things but this is also for budget reasons.

Seems like it would be possible to use the macbook air for ableton live but do you guys know if it would be possible to use for animation as well? If not, do you possibly have any other tips?

I tried doing this like 5 years ago so I actually have the parts to a spare iphone 3gs that does turn on but im not finding any info online instructions on how i could use the parts. I'm only somewhat tech savvy. Any input would be appreciated!

I have an iPhone bought in Singapore with its model number ending with ZP so I suppose it is manufactured in Hong Kong. I’m looking to travel to Japan soon and hope to get an esims but I heard that most esims are not compatible with iPhones from Hong Kong, Mainland China and Macao.

Are there other alternatives or as long as your phone is bought outside of Hong Kong, it is still compatible with esims? please help🫠

2015 MacBook Pro i7

the other day I disconneted my macbook from my desk set up and then it wouldn’t charge and the led on the charger wasn’t coming on. But the icon says the power was connected. I tried resetting the smc, changing outlets, unpluging and replacing it Nothing worked. I eventually opened it up and unplugged the battery then replaced it back and it started charging. I had it on the charger tonight woke up and found the orange led on. Checked the menu and found it wasn’t charging again. Tried unplugging repluuging it nothing. I just tried changing outlets and not the led doesn”t coming on again . What the heck is going on?

update. I left it unplugged and when I went to bestbuy to get a new charger came back and the old one is charging again

I have an alarm set in my HomePod that plays CBC Radio One in the morning. But it does so by using TuneIn. It works, but every time TuneIn starts, it plays really annoying advertisements in French and I don't even speak French. I can't stand it. CBC Radio is listed through Apple Music but again, only via TuneIn.

There's an app called CBC Listen, which lets me listen to live radio just fine, but it doesn't (seem to) have an alarm feature. It's got a sleep timer but that's all.

Are there any other options that I might try?

I don't mind if my iPhone can be set to start playing CBC in the morning as I can always then send the audio to my HomePods. But I can't see a way to make an alarm on the phone that plays CBC.

I hope someone here has good suggestions for me. Thanks.

I have a S95QR paired with a G3 OLED and a an ATV4K. It works perfectly with Atmos but once the content is just 5.1 the audio only comes from the bar, and the rear speakers remain silent. I tried tue watch the same content (The Crown S6) on webOS native app and it worked flawlessly, I can even see the name Dolby Audio on my app.

Is there any workaround for this on ATV? My settings in Audio Format is Change format Off and Immersive Audio Dolby Atmos On, meaning it will play Atmos when available.

I want to replace it and breathe some new life into this MacBook, but I don't know where to find decent replacement batteries. I've seen some on Amazon, but I'm a bit wary of those.

I hate inconsistency between subs, so i've set the whole "allow video to ignore style" thing in each of the accessibility settings and all the apps and shows have the same subtitle style even in AppleTV+... except in the Monarch series. For some reason that series is showing big bold subtitles. Anyone else has this issue?

One of my HomePods is connecting to the neighbors WIFI-Network all the time, restarting doesn't change anything and I can't change the WIFI-Network manually in the app. Why isn't apple able to give the user the possibility to change the HomePods Wifi-network without any circumstances??? I don't get it. I've neither entered the other WIFIs password nor did setup anything regards that.

For those on iOS 17, how many of you have been using the standby mode since it got released to the public? And have you faced any burn-in issues thus far?

I often hear rants in Apple communities that each year Apple is failing to 'innovate' in the software space with their annual MacOS / IOS / everything elseOS updates, and that phrases such as 'Peak Smartphone' are consistently thrown around online.

My question is this - what change or development are people really expecting with each subsequent software cycle? For all the posts about how Apple "isn't doing enough" each year, there's 2-3x that amount complaining that updates are causing too many bugs and lamenting the "lack of polish".

Generative AI is being thrown around as the next big leap in consumer electronics, but outside of a vastly-improved Siri I'm at a loss as to what it is exactly consumers are wanting in this space.

I see I’m in zone 1,2,or 3 on the watch but can’t find it anywhere on the phone stats. What am I missing

Got the 44mm Series 4 at launch and it’s never been dropped and I can’t remember if I ever hit it against something but there’s no sign of glass crack anywhere and it doesn’t show signs of a dent on the body. Not sure what has caused this but it’s been like this pretty much a year after I bought it and has been slowly eating away at itself since.

Functionally - it works like a charm, not slow, launches all apps - battery is debatable getting about a days use out of it with battery health at 84%.

Can the screen be fixed? If not, am I doomed to get a new watch?

(Also low key kind of curious to see exactly how long it will take for it to completely go black)

Ever since I the last update I did on my watch the now playing app won’t let me control Libby which I use for audiobooks. It says now playing at the top then a box under that that says “Apple Watch music” that I can’t click on and then under that is another box that says the title of the book I’m listening to and iPhone and I can’t click on that either.

Phone is a 15PM. The fitness app only seems to have the circle graph. Thanks.

iPhone 12 apps keep either crashing or freezing or just flat out refusing to open. Help please!! 128GB model with 64 odd free. Phone has been reset and running iOS 17.1.1 (which I think is the problem). Happens on both WiFi and Cellular. Not every app but WhatsApp, Facebook, X, TikTok, Amazon to name a few.

yesterday, my watch told me i burnt 2,000 calories. which is very weird as i hadn’t done overly much that day. i walked for probably a total of an hour, spent 45 minutes on an exercise bike and had a half hour swim. this tends to be what i usually do, and my watch usually clocks (haha) it at ~1200 calories. even then i subtract about 25% of what it tells me i’ve burnt, as it always seems a bit too much. this is the biggest anomaly i’ve seen from my watch amongst other things like massively overestimating my burnt calories whilst cycling.

is this something that is common? and is there anything i can do to get a more realistic estimate of burnt calories?

Charged it at 7:55pm. Went to sleep with the watch woke up around 80%. It's 2pm and it's at 22%. I haven't used the watch other than wear it to keep time. Its just doing the regular things like heart beat and tracking steps. Haven't used it for work out or any of the other stuff. Battery health is at 99%. Just got this last week. Is this normal use? Thought it was quoted 36 hours battery life under regular use.
