Piracy is good and you should do more of it. Use https://aniwave.to/ and https://4anime.gg/ for streaming, and https://nyaa.si/ for torrents. Piracy is the only means of digital protest that audiences have to fight poor worker treatment.

lonk

there's a big march madness gundam character thing going on, and paptimus scirocco (says he's in favor of a matriarchy but it's just so he can creep on women, gets owned by the first transgender gundam pilot) is up against harry ord (respects women a lot, is actually constantly fighting for a matriarchy, is very chill with the second transgender gundam pilot)

harry also has the cooler gold mobile suit and is just generally incredibly cool and you should watch turn a gundam

For me it's Mashle, the Apothecary Diaries and Frieren as top Peaks.

Ragna Crimson is the hypest battle anime airing right now. The fights are way more peak than anything Solo Leveling will have until the Ants arc.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 is my guilty pleasure. I just love the bullshit in this one.

Don't think this needs content warnings. Thanks, Cromalin!

I have either high standards or low tolerance for queer manga I guess, it's uncommon that I finish them. At first I figured this one was just another for the pile, because I loaded up the first chapter and it was like

"Aw for fuck's sake, cmon, you fuckin' loser manga. Do better!" Thankfully it actually does do better.

So yeah, it's the usual "he got turned into A GIRL overnight!!!1!" appropos of nothing setup, and the first couple chapters almost rolled my eyes out of my head. At times I was getting hints of transmasc-ness from it, protagonist Akira is so averse to being a girl early on.

Sorry dog, cannot fucking relate. A lot of it is taken up with the kind of goofy "golly gee girls have it hard! I'm bored I wish I was doing BOY THINGS", super painfully obvious gender-binary observations, standard issue stuff. It also does that thing where because Akira LIVED AS A BOY he UNDERSTANDS THE OTHER BOYS SO WELL or whatever, invoked here when a guy in class gets mad and tries to fuckin punch Akira. Wild, I almost dropped it a couple times, even if it is good for screencaps.

What makes this one worth it is the genuine trans positivity that comes through about ten chapters in. Not even subtextually! Skirt do be going spinny, and I had a tough time not enjoying watcbing Akira get used to skirts and get comfy having girls as friends, stuff like that.

It's the little things, the small and quiet affirmations that stand out from the mess. I remember this, I recall what it felt like. Extremely good feeling. The doctors Akira goes to, for her magical overnight transsexualism condition(PLEASE), are all enthusiastic and accepting of her deciding that Actually, being a girl is rad. Her family even is too!!

It's charming and fluffy and made me smile, which made it well worth the hour or whatever I spent reading it. Some of the school-social stuff I find unpleasant but it's par for the course when a ten year old magically becomes an gril. Every other gender-bender manga I've read has ended up on my shitlist, but this one's okay actually. Very nice!

For this edition of Saturday Anime Night, the people demanded more Sailor Moon, and so, we’re continuing on, with episodes 49 through 54 of the 1992 series, the definitive magical-girl anime. This is the completely unabridged, unexpurgated, uncensored, Japanese version of the show, including everything that the English dub butchered, altered, and/or cut, which is quite a bit. Tonight’s episodes see the continuation of the anime-only Makai Tree arc of Season 2, and the beginning of Tuxedo Mask’s Arab sheik phase.

After that is Boy and the World (2013), a dialogue-free Brazilian surrealist peace about a boy who leaves his village to find his absent father, and his subsequent journey through the urban, industrial, consumerist hellscape of the modern world. It received rave reviews across the board, and garnered a nomination for Best Animated Feature at the 2015 Oscars. It is the best-known and best-regarded work to date of director Ale Abreu.

We’ll start 9PM EST on Hextube, right here: https://live.hexbear.net/c/movies

Be there, comrades!

It is a 2005-2006 Anime Adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson's 'The Snow Queen'. From what I have read, it is kind of a Cult Classic, and it is unique in that, in it's storyline, it has story arcs adapted from other HCA fairy tales. From what viewers have said, it was a phenomenally made work.

I have wanted to watch it some day, but I have searched Crunchyroll, Amazon, AnimePlanet, and several other places meant for streaming Anime, and I can't find it. Similarly, I have found very little mentions of this from places other than Tumblr. Not even on Reddit.

Do any of you know where I could view this?

Update: I found it from the 9Anime link one of you provided. Thanks for your help.

Most of my exposure with anime was whatever was on Toonami and Adult Swim in the 2000s. I've not watched stuff like, Ghost In The Shell, Cowboy Bebop (only disjointed episodes out of order), Neon Genesis Evangelion, which I know are highly regarded.

I've seen just about every Miyazaki movie at this point. I've seen Akeria.

I'm sure there's more mainstream shows and non mainstream shows that I'm missing and would enjoy.

Thoughts?

this song gets dropped like 4 times throughout the show, and every time it's perfect and makes me cry simply by virtue of how beautiful it is. when it gets played in full in the last episode it's one of the most perfect moments in anime, i genuinely think there's only 2 or 3 moments that compare

but i'd love to hear what your favorite songs in anime are
