I can't remember the exact one, but the finale of Akebi's Sailor Uniform continues to live rent-free in my head. The visual quality there is pure excellence.

Takopi's Original Sin unsat Violet Evergarden series + 2020 movie as my top 1 when I finished it last week. It's not perfect perfect, yet I fail to think of any other non-movie anime that is as consistent and complete in its overall quality as this.

I cried in 5 out of 6 episodes of Takopi's Original Sin. The me of 2020 wouldn't believe it.

First time it happened was on completing Violet Evergarden the Movie on late 2021. Haven't cried for more than 10 years prior to that, and it was the first I did so because I'm very happy for Violet.
