As Moorehead wrote in 2021: “Nothing has changed before or after the Chauvin conviction and sentencing, in terms of Black and Brown people being racially targeted by the police. Nothing has changed for the families of Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, Rekia Boyd, Sandra Bland, Breonna Taylor, Shantel Davis, Elijah McClain, Walter Wallace Jr. and countless others calling for any kind of justice, whether these deaths were videotaped or not.

“As an act of solidarity, it is important to defend the right of the victims’ families and oppressed communities under constant police occupation to demand that accountability be arrests, convictions and jail time for killer cops. However, it is just as important for revolutionaries and socialists to call for the abolition of not only the police and other repressive arms like ICE but for the abolition of capitalism, a system that puts the profits of the superrich before the needs of the people. One cannot exist without the other.”

Fulfer and his sister were later seen screaming at law enforcement across the street only minutes later, who seemingly had looked on while Fulfer’s sister pointed a handgun at a large crowd.

“You have not enforced the law…watch commander,” stated one far-Right streamer ironically with “First Responders’ Media,” to which a member of law enforcement stated, “We’re working on it…There’s probably a plan being worked out.” Later in the stream, one of the far-Right activists stated, “Yeah [the law enforcement officer] knows me. That’s officer Moose. Last time we were down here…I actually have his number.”

In video coverage from Unicorn Riot, police can be seen walking into the festival-area with high powered automatic weapons and in videos posted to Twitter, people at the music festival, some with dogs and small children, are seen running from the police. “Cops were picking off random music festival attendees,” reported Jean, who also stated police were heard screaming, “We’re gonna fucking kill you motherfucker.”

“They came out in full force, [but] the crowd stayed together,” Jean stated, as police deployed pepper-balls and tasers on concert goers and rolled out a Bearcat unit along with an LRAD, a machine which uses a painful sound cannon against large crowds.

In the face of this violence, according to Tina, the several hundred people still at the festival self-organized to get people rides out of the park and shuttle them to safety. When police threatened mass arrest, people locked arms and chanted that they had children there and demanded to be released, to which police finally relented, allowing people to leave the area in groups. According to the Atlanta Community Press Collective, at least 35 people were arrested late Sunday, with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation reporting that 23 currently are being charged with “domestic terrorism.”

[…]

[A] police statement released late Sunday claimed (correctly) that those at the music festival were, “peaceful,” yet this did not stop them from brutalizing a crowd filled with families and even young children. The statement read, “A group of violent agitators used the cover of a peaceful protest of the proposed Atlanta Public Safety Training Center to conduct a coordinated attack on construction equipment…” If this is so, then why did police knowingly threaten hundreds of “peaceful” people with arrest and even possible violent death?

To be perfectly clear, I am in no way defending said child diddler. I think he needs to be in prison or worse. But you'll see what I mean.

There are several of these, so I am going to put them all in this thread.

Continuous Police Violence against anti-Zionist [Jews] in Jerusalem

Video of what appears to be undercover police physically forcing a Jew out of his apartment.

Brief examples of more bullying.

ETA: compilation.

It’s interesting to note that a lot of these protestors are referring to the police as ‘Nazis’ (which I wouldn’t do, personally, but it’s striking how even some Jews living in the neocolony make this equivalence).

(I wouldn’t go so far as to equate these officers with the German Fascists as some of these protestors do, but the ultranationalism is strikingly apparent.)

If the role changes the person, how does it do that? What pressures do police face from the state, society, and capitalism in general that makes them into a worse person?

Rainey, a former U.S. Army psychological operations officer and conservative activist who has been vocally protesting drag shows, wrote on Facebook shortly after the electricity failed: "The power is out in Moore County and I know why."

She then posted a photograph of the Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines, where a drag show was scheduled for Saturday, and said: "God will not be mocked."

At Sunday's news conference, Fields said: "We had to go and interview this young lady and have a word of prayer with her and so, but it turned out to be nothing."

Asked how deputies had determined Rainey's posts were false, Fields said it was due to "good law enforcement," without elaborating. The Moore County Sheriff's Office and Rainey have been contacted for comment.

Rainey posted on Facebook that her name "has been officially cleared by law enforcement."

In another post, she said deputies had "wasted their time" by visiting her. "I told them that God works in mysterious ways and is responsible for the outage. I used the opportunity to tell them about the immoral drag show and the blasphemies screamed by its supporters," she wrote. "God is chastising Moore County. I thanked them for coming and wished them a good night. Thankful for the LEOs service, as always."
