I didn't include the times below in case details change, so use the link for the info

Join us rain or shine at Oak Meadows Park, located at Oak Street and West 37th Avenue, for a free, family-friendly viewing experience. Bring your blankets or chairs, pack some snacks, water, and non-alcoholic beverages, and enjoy the game on our big screen. Let’s unite and cheer on our team!

Prefer to stay indoors? Select community centres will also broadcast the games in their lobby areas during regular hours of operations, offering another great, free, and family-friendly option to experience the playoff excitement with your neighbors:

  • Hillcrest Community Centre
  • Roundhouse Community Centre
  • Killarney Community Centre
  • Kitsilano Community Centre
  • False Creek Community Centre
  • Creekside Community Centre

We're adding more locations for game broadcasts. Check our website for additional details and updates on where you can catch the action.

Taken around 11:30 Friday night, although the picture sure doesn't do the real thing justice

I've tried to delete my earlier post, but for the folks of you who might have seen it:

It's all good! The little guy went on a stroll by itself and knows his way home!

He is known to the West Vancouver Bylaw Division and they confirmed that he's all good.

Thank you!

Bullet holes could be seen on a black SUV sitting at the centre of the police scene.

(Robson and Richards. Article doesn't indicate that anyone was hurt, it seems like a bullet did go into the Tim Horton's in that area.)

Three apartment fires with one common factor.

The properties were — and still are — owned by Fu De (Henry) Ren and his wife, Fang Yan. And while the Mount Pleasant fire was determined to be accidental, the buildings and their owners had a record of multiple fire safety violations.

Why does it seem that people actively avoid expressing disaagreements on what somone says when they are out somewhere having a conversation? Why arwe people more concerned about trying to sound nice rather than being honest? It's not provactive or antagonizing to simply say "I can't agree with you on that, I disagree." I suspect that if someone articulates the reasoning behind their disagreement, a lot of people would not be bothered by it, unless someone wants everybody to believe the same things and are easily disturbed by contrary points of views.

Found it on the street a few weeks ago in downtown, last used Jan-24-2024 06:57 PM. Sorry for the long delay, I went on vacation right the next day and forgot about it. Hit me up if it's yours and you want it back.

Card number is 0164 0235 7941 0194 ABCD

Proof of ownership will be telling me via DM the last digits and/or the CVN.

It has about 15 dollars on it. If the owner doesn't bother to claim it in a few days I'll just donate to someone on the streets.

The cyclist was riding on the sidewalk, and ran a red light (a bit more justified to flag him down). He fled, eventually ditching the bike and fleeing by foot.

I hope the police didn't screw up by performing an unjustified search.

If someone had the STL file already (from printables), where should they go to get it printed? What about if they also needed to get things scanned?

I see that some libraries have it, but I was curious if there are other options too in case the person needs help

Do you know any chess clubs/programmes for a 5-7 year old in Vancouver/Richmond area?

I would preferably want to be able to look up the coach(es) online or attend one of their lessons before enrolling my kid.

PS: I know I may sound very picky, but I have witnessed first hand how a not great tutor in the early ages can ruin the enthusiasm for chess and change the future.

Photo taken August 2023, around the time when wildfire smoke drifted its way through the lower Fraser. Made for a nice picture despite the possible health impact. It sounds like we may go through it again this year.
