Owner Kyle Seller previously told Daily Hive that he hoped that guests would enjoy the classic, old-school feel of Secret Arcade.

The Vancouver arcade housed 10 pinballs, five arcade cabinets, and a foosball table, and was set to free-play once you paid a flat entry fee.

Many of the machines have their own history in Vancouver, having been previously set up in bars such as Pub 340 and 12 Kings, as well as at Good Co., the Vancouver Fringe, and more.

Seller is also the owner of East Van Amusements and Industry Arcade in New Westminster, which are still in operation.

The latter is a free-play party rental arcade in the Braid Industrial, just minutes from the Sapperton Skytrain Station.

This shindig — which coins itself as the largest of its kind in Canada — is happening from Aug. 9 to 10 at Burnaby’s Swangard Stadium.

Thousands of attendees are expected to enjoy exciting live performances, interactive games, and, of course, delicious food and drinks

The best part is that admission to the Canada Bubble Tea Festival is free.

Some fedi folks hosted a two day con in Vancouver this past weekend. If anyone is interested, there's a video of all the talks. Would love to see some Lemmy representation next year 🫡

I love how nice the area is now. I met up with a friend one evening and it was nice to see so many people enjoying the public space with friends/family

I didn't know there would be benches there. The view would be amazing, although I'd be nervous about someone not noticing the ramp/bench

From their newsletter:

We’re excited to share that the Greater Vancouver Food Bank was recently featured in Edible Magazine for our work to reduce food waste and preserve fresh, locally grown food.

We’re featured on pages 30 to 34. You can read the full article here or by clicking the button below.

Thanks to your continued support, we have partnered with 19 farms across BC and introduced new preservation techniques such as freeze drying and dehydrating. These efforts are allowing us to save more food and get it to the people who need it most.

This year alone, we’ve seen an 836% increase in fresh food rescued — healthy food that might have otherwise gone to waste, now nourishing 15,000 individuals and supporting 150 community agency partners every month.
