Hey, look, it's me! Lol. This is Object 299, a Soviet concept tank that was meant to carry a 152mm gun and a coaxial 30mm autocannon. An immensely awesome and mean looking tank. It's one of my favorites, easily. The turret is an oscillating type similar to the AMX-13 and is unmanned.

There was also a planned IFV variant for this platform.

One of the Soviet projects that actually carried over after the collapse. The specs of this tank is seriously insane on paper. 152mm gun, 30mm autocannon coaxial, APS, night vision/thermal imagers, smoke launchers, sensors, weather relay, it had pretty much everything. People will say they're completely unrelated but it is unofficially the predecessor of the T-14 Armata. Both with remote turrets, autoloaders and crew in the hull.

I know most don't like it in terms of aesthetics but the raw and brutal look of it really gets me going. It would've been pretty horrible to be on the receiving end of this tank!

A South Korean tank, designed and built by Hyundai Rotem. It's one of the newest tanks in service today. It has a 120mm gun and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. The turret has an autoloader like the Leclerc S2 does. The overall weight is around 55 metric tons.

This is probably one of my favorite IFVs. It looks so cool! That turret is pretty damn nice. There's not much information on its performance but I still like the overall look.

A fictitious tank designed by Jamison Cunningham! The idea behind the design was apparently intended to be "nationally androgynous". In other words, it is meant to have no clear influence from exclusively Western or Eastern design philosophies.

I love the look of the tank, it looks very practical and realistic. It's something I could easily see being produced and fielded by modern militaries. But I feel that Jamison failed with his attempt at creating a nationally androgynous tank. Personally, I feel that it is very clearly very heavily inspired by Western design with a heavily protected turret, rear blowout panels and the turret placed far forward so the gun is not obstructed by obstacles when turning around corners.

Though, I will give credit on the lack of the iconic rear NATO hump. This is still an amazing design and I'm very impressed at the detail and thought gone into it!

This has to be one of my favorite IFV turrets that I've ever seen. Such an unique and menacing design. This is a new Brazilian IFV. It carries a Mk44 Bushmaster II 30mm autocannon and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. It is also supposedly capable of being mounted with ATGMs.

It was a prototype tank that had a 140mm gun. To my knowledge, the US army stopped pursuing the project and the Thumper project never went beyond the prototype phase. I believe they felt they no longer needed a 140mm gun on their MBTs once the Soviet Union fell and could no longer fund developments such as Object 477, 195, or 490.

Still quite a crazy tank! It would've been fascinating to see how it would've been if it had been the main tank for the US army. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a 140mm HE round!!

It's obviously very fictional and would never happen, but I just can't get over how awesome this thing looks. The "experimental" look that it has with the cables running all over the back of the tank. It gives a "realistic" vibe in a way that I really appreciate!

The actual tank is also very cool and it's one of my favorites. Artist is Filip Bazarewski!

Another fictional tank that I really like. It was created by a Chinese internet user sometime in 2015 and was never an official military development. Another Armata inspired design, remote turret, crew in the hull.

I honestly wished China had actually built something like this instead of ZTZ-100. It felt rather disappointing and lackluster in comparison. Still, one of the most awesome and gorgeous designs I've ever seen for a tank! Very realistic, very plausible and I've felt for a while that this type of design is going to be the trend for AFVs in general.

Remote turrets, standard APS installations, armored capsules in the hull. That's what I think it's headed towards. Manned turrets are basically ancient relics of the past and really has become unnecessary with the advancements of technology, in my opinion. Akin to WW1 tanks having their engine in the same compartment as the crew. It's just much better and safer to have no humans inside the structure with all the explosive ammunition and moving parts.

A completely fictional but totally awesome looking tank. It's one of my favorites that I really wish was made. It was created by a Serbian 3D modeler and was quickly picked up by local news who mistakenly thought it was a real development by the Serbian military.

The tank was inspired by the T-14 Armata, with a remote turret and an armored capsule for the crew in the hull. It has a 125mm smoothbore gun, a 2A42 autocannon as coaxial and a 12.7mm machine gun mounted on a remotely controlled weapons station. It apparently had some kind of APS similar to the Afghanit APS seen on the Armata.

It's a very cool tank, I hope you all like it!

I'm not much of a fan of older manned turret designs like this but this does look extremely cool and menacing. Just look at that thick side ERA... very majestic!
