Usenet (feddit.it)

So, i want to give a try to usenet world.

I have the *Arr setup with torrents now, and works great, but why not experiment a bit further?

So many questions...

First of all: will i find italian contents? Or its all US/English stuff?

I got an account on NZBFind, bit thats only an indexer right? I need also to find an access provider to usenet? If so, which access provider do you recomend? I want somewhere i can test for a few weeks or a month or so before committing, so no credit card upfront.

Update: trough techradar got an offer on newshosting for 5.99/mo with 3 monts free. Paid with PayPal then cancelled the recurrent immediately (so paid 0 so far). But at the moment not yet sure i made it working in my *Arr setup properly.

They could just have copied that damn map like digital pirates would do instead of everybody killing each other

I use a seedbox to run qBittorrent with Jackett, and have a bunch of sources on there. I know there are other methods, but that works for me and I'm comfortable with it.

Rarbg has been gone for about five months and it's harder and harder to find 4k TV rips. For current shows, sometimes you can get episodes as they air, but it's rare to see full seasons.

The tipping point was when I searched for a Netflix show from two weeks ago just now, with zero 4K results.

I've always hated private trackers since they're a pain in the ass, but is that the only option now? Do I need to look at a different method entirely? I've been torrenting since that existed, but if I need to do something else, let me know.

I don't expect to get torrent sites in any responses, but you can do that if you have any 😂

Obviously I won't share where I've gotten my files over the years for media but as a physical collector as well, the prices for some bluray collections of things is outrageous and would like to make my own that look somewhat professional. I have a bluray burner and blank bluray discs.

What the title says, and that's pretty much it. Do you or don't you?

Brazil's telecoms regulator Anatel claims that during an operation last week, it successfully blocked around 80% of pirate 'TV boxes' in the country. Estimates from early 2023 suggest that seven million were active in Brazil. The operation, claimed to be the most significant ever carried out, arrives just weeks after Google & Cisco were criticized for "turning a blind eye" to the IPTV piracy problem.

For example, the following had been posted and I saved them for later, but now they're gone, and searching for the same doesn't result in them.

https://audioz.download/software/242534-download_audio-modeling-swam-solo-strings-bundle-v3725169-win.html https://audioz.download/software/242592-download_audio-modeling-swam-solo-woodwinds-bundle-v3725169-win.html https://audioz.download/software/242540-download_audio-modeling-swam-solo-brass-bundle-v3725169-win.html

I can only think of 2 things but would love clarification if any one knows. 1. they found a virus or something malicious in a release, or 2. they got a dmca or copyright takedown

Both seem somewhat unlikely R2R has a really good reputation, and there's enough on audioz that if copyright stuff could get anything taken down, the site wouldn't exist at all.

A trainer I used to love back in the day used to be free/shareware but has since changed to an extremely stingy freemium model.

Any idea where I might look for the old version? I'd be more specific, but I'm not sure whether it would be against the requests rule..

Image description: a screenshot from the Wikipedia page for the Doctor Who TV series, with a user-added caption that reads "Preserve the media you can before it's gone forever." The Wikipedia article reads, "No 1960s episodes exist on their original videotapes (all surviving prints being film transfers), though some were transferred to film for editing before transmission and exist in their broadcast form. [88] Some episodes have been returned to the BBC from the archives of other countries that bought prints for broadcast or by private individuals who acquired them by various means. Early colour videotape recordings made off-air by fans have also been retrieved, as well as excerpts filmed from the television screen onto 8 mm cine film and clips that were shown on other programmes. Audio versions of all lost episodes exist from home viewers who made tape recordings of the show. Short clips from every story with the exception of Marco Polo (1964), "Mission to the Unknown" (1965) and The Massacre (1966) also exist."

Really interesting read about the history of YouTube adblocking, how the new detection works, how uBO is responding, and how not to block the new popups.

Any sources to get scientific papers for my own interest? Doesn't really matter if available as torrents or on the web to view. Thanks in advance!

Hi pirates.

I used to reverse engineer and crack CrackMes and CTF Challenges, and while those are fun and teaches important concepts it's not close enough for real world cracking. I'm looking for softwares to practice on. This will probably help other people so maybe we should make a list. I thought on something like:

  1. Easy peasy software to crack (Closet thing to CrackMe but real).
  2. Keygen.
  3. Dll patching.
  4. Manipulating server payloads.
  5. Anti-debug bypass.

If you know any softwares that are suitable for this is great. If you have something to add or you think the order should be different then please update me.

As the title says, I'm looking for sites that have home show or flipping show type content (basically like stuff on HGTV).

I used to use Rarbg, but well, they're gone. I can occasionally find stuff on 1337x and Torrent Galaxy, but not as regularly as I could on Rarbg. And I haven't had luck with streaming sites (I need to be able to download the shows, too, so if I can't grab it from those streaming sites it will do me no favors).

I'm aware it might simply not exist, and private trackers are not possible to use for me. But figured I'd ask, as I haven't come across anything looking through various megathreads (I could have missed it, of course, considering how large freemediaheckyeah is).

2341

Yes, I have looked in the megathread. Specifically under the sections "All Purpose", "Tools", and "Software".. however, I didn't find any general, all purpose websites for cracked software. Or at least, the megathread never had something in it that said "great website for cracked software".

Thanks in advance. :)

So far I am really liking FreeTune as an alternative to UBO. However, my family really hates it. One of the reasons for this is because it doesn't have a recommended vidoes section. Is it possible to download an addon for that, or is there an alternative to FreeTube that works more like YouTune?

Another thing that I can't seem to find a solution for is that when you use an external player from FreeTube, some age restricted videos won't play on the external player. Is there a solution for this?

Any help is appreciated, thanks for reading.

Do y'all know about textise? I don't see mention of it come up in a quick search. https://www.textise.net/

It can be used with the duckduckgo bang !textise

It also works over Tor, where I can use it as a proxy to avoid Cloudflare checkpoints.

I don't think that it is open source but not completely sure.

Copy from the site intro:

Textise is a new way of looking at the Web. It’s an internet tool that removes everything from a web page except for its text. In practice, this means that images, forms, scripts, adverts, they all go, leaving plain text. Find out more here... (https://textise.wordpress.com/about-textise/)

How to use this page

  1. Type or paste the URL of a web page into the box below and click "Textise". A text only version of the web page will be displayed.
  2. Type a search term into the box, select a search engine from the drop-down list, and click "Search". You will be taken to a text only version of the search results.

I posted this to c/piracy, as lemmy does not have a CrackSupport equivalent.

This is the Fitgirl Repacks release.

My specs

  • GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
  • CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR3
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19045 Build 19045

My settingsDefault Low preset, with Antialiasing turned off for performance.

I thought it was my graphics ""card"" but I looked it up online and others seem to be able to run it fine.

Any suggestions?

Windows as a software package would have never been affordable to individuals or local-level orgs in countries like India and Bangladesh (especially in the 2000's) that are now powerhouses of IT. Same for many SE Asian, Eastern European, African and LatinoAmerican countries as well.

Had the OS been too difficult to pirate, educators and local institutions in these countries would have certainly shifted to Linux and the like. The fact that Windows could be pirated easily is the main factor that led to its ubiquity and allowed it to become a household name. Its rapid popularity in the '00s and early '10s cemented its status as the PC operating system. It is probably the same for Microsoft Office as well (it is still a part of many schools' standard curricula).

The fact that Windows still remains pirateable to this day is perhaps intentional on Microsoft's part.

Recently setup the *Arr stack&transmission+ JellyFin and loving it... (linux user, with always on server at home, behind a 5G unlimited connection)

I am a torrent person, dont understand usenet at the moment.

A few questions to fellow sailors:

  • how do you safely and easily import your existing libraries? (Movies tv.shows books..)

  • how do you manage multiple languages.in movies? Like having the movie in french and english both

  • where and how to search for audiobooks? Really cant find many...

Any tips for daily usage?

I have been doing torrents + VPN for years now and thinking about switching.

Is usenet and debrid safe to use without a VPN in the UK? What about other piracy streaming sites?

From what I understand it's cheaper to use a VPN than have debrid + usenet + private indexers but I am not sure.

I have heard some questionable justifications as to why it's safer such as it being encrypted (torrents can also be encrypted). Are the index sites also safe? I have heard it both ways about this. Including people saying index sites are not encrypted which they normally are.
