I am running jellyfin in LAN on a Synology. I/O from harddisk shouldn't be a problem being SSD on the same NAS. And WiFi should sustain a 4K stream. I have tried only web clients. How can I optimize the stream for such large file? Or how can I debug the bottleneck?

Hello guys. A colleague of mine has an iPhone (don't know exactly which one but I think it's the 13) and is often on assembly. He asked me the other day about sports streaming sites and have also recommended him 1-2 there. However, he had new ad windows open there despite Brave Browser and that already made him unappetizing the whole thing again.... Now I wonder if there are any apps with which the whole thing is a bit more pleasant. I'm a longtime Android user and apart from Kodi (which isn't very intuitive to use on mobile either) I can't think of a better alternative for iPhones right now. I have read about Streemio but that is also more for TV and movies and runs only via Real Debrid or torrents ...

Can someone help me there maybe further?

Happy to buy hardware if needed. Just trying to avoid large streaming services abhorrent business practices.

For the last month or two, my AV blocks their site because it detected a ScrInject.B trojan.

And yes, it's the correct site (monkrus.ws).

VirusTotal also shows 4 security vendors register it as malicious.

Are these all false positives or is monkrus's site no longer trustworthy?

The DRM removal tool to remove DRM from ebooks was taken down from github and will most likely be taken down from gitlab soon as well. • I found a post from 2 years ago and it says you have to either have a download ratio of 1:1 on the files you download or you seed them for 10 days so my question: is there a way actually to see those stats before deleting that file

• for exemple if Ic seed like for 9 days will I still get a warning isn't there a threshhold

• If I seed for exemple everyday for 10 hours and then shutdown my pc like any normal person than do the same thing for the next 30 days with variation in those 10 hours theoratically speaking I seeded for more than 10 days or sould I constantly seed for 10 days like my pc shouldn't shut down cause if that's the case then hate to break it to you but in some reagions electricity isn't stable

I have seen that Ventura has much tighter inspections of modifications to executables. From that article :

I had this idea, and it's probably dumb, but hear me out and let me know what you think.

I really like movies. Streaming services are currently the best legal option to watch movies afaik, but often they don't have that specific and maybe also old movie I want to watch - even with 3 different streaming services. Then I could rent it, but paying like 8 bucks every time I want to watch a movie is too much.

If I could buy and download a free (free as in no drm or other bullshit shenanigans) digital copy of a movie for a reasonable price I would be all over that shit.

But as we all know the greedy capitalists can't keep milking the same old cashcows if the users have a permanent copy that they can potentially also distribute so that won't happen any time soon.

So my idea was what is we as a public group (movie enthusiasts) joined and made a company funded by something like gofundme or similar. The sole purpose of the company would be to buy rights to movies and hosting digital copies free to download for anyone.

Wouldn't that be something. Legal digital movies by the public for the public.

I've recently just purchase 2 years of Proton Unlimited and am trying to compose a new project container with my Proton VPN account, but I can't get it to launch at all.

I've been searching the github repo for advice but everything suggested hasn't worked for me.

Anybody happen to have the same config as this and have any advice? Happy to pastebin my docker-compose.yml etc if it helps.

EDIT: Okay well I checked my logs and found I had AUTH_FAILED.... turns out I wasn't using my OpenVPN / IKEv2 credentials... yikes

I have default windows defender, but didnt even know its antivirus lol. Is there any antivirus installed by default on any popular linux distro? What do you use?

I feel like antivirus can just annoy me when trying to crack something, but maybe defender protects me and im not aware.
