I understand setting your DNS to cloudfare helps staying anonymous out there. So if someone sets a Pi Hole linked to Cloudfare does it cover one's tracks? Together with a VPN.

So I got the dreaded over storage limit email and need a replacement storage option. Preferably cloud based as I have an abysmal 20mbps upload from Xfinity. Or I was thinking of going the Plex debrid route. Is it possible to host that on a seed box and run it through Plex to maintain one ip address? That way I can get around my upload limitations. Just curious on everyone’s thoughts and solutions.

I'm devastated! Holy fuck it's the end of such a great resource. Is there any other plex share communities active at all?

I found out today that I can change my dns to acces 1337.to again. My ISP was blocking it. However, it works on chrome, but not on firefox. Why doesn't it work on firefox?

Hi everyone. If I purchase a real debrid package, my understanding is that everyone in my house using the same internet can use it all simultaneously without any problems.

I saw some people asking about it in my research and it has me a little confused now about being banned.

If my family members are all logged in to their stremio account, can we all watch shows using real debrid at the same time without any trouble?

Edit: I also saw people recommend using a VPN if using real debrid.. is it necessary? Tried a VPN a long time ago and it slowed down my internet HORRIBLY so don't really want to use one anymore.

Hello All,

Currently I'm running SFTP from my Seedbox to my Plex server (Ubuntu) via a Windows 10 machine with SMB. It's fine, though a little slow. The speed I can deal with, but I was hoping to automate this process. Are there any decent, free FTP clients out there that can periodically search my seedbox for new files and automatically upload them to my Plex server? Is there a better way than using SFTP?

This is my first run at this and I'm looking for any insight you folks may have to offer. The goal here is to be able to make a request in Ombi and have it appear in my Plex without any interaction when the transfers complete.

Side note: I'm so happy to have found this community. I've gained so many insights already.

I am very green when it comes to private trackers, but understand there are strict expectations on members in terms of seed ratios, etc.

My current setup is such that I am now well placed to seed longterm, as such I have considered how best to go about becoming a member of one or two trackers.

Initially I would like to try for Racing4Everyone - I’m really into my motorsport, but only have limited access to content via traditional means.

What are the general methods to apply in order to become a member of these trackers, or is it more or less impossible unless they open up briefly?

At first this article reads like your typical anti-piracy screed. It rants about how 10x more people watched GoT illegally (confusing them with lost sales) and ends with how downloading movies can get your credit card stolen.

The middle of the article however, destroys the author's case.

Time Warner (owning company of HBO) CEO Alan Bewkes stated in 2013 how becoming the most illegally streamed show in history was “better than an Emmy” and that torrenting ultimately led to more paid subscriptions.

“We’ve been dealing with this for 20, 30 years—people sharing subs, running wires down the backs of apartment buildings. Our experience is that it leads to more paying subs. I think you’re right that Game of Thrones is the most pirated show in the world and that’s better than an Emmy.”

The CEO of Time Warner, who knows more about the finances of his own show than ForeverGeek writer Tom Llewellyn, championed piracy and said that it brought them more subscribers rather than nearly destroying the show as the article claims.

Needless to say, Tom forwent a rebuttal in favor of writing how you can get malware from downloading it...

Everyone calling out Denuvo for being a laggy mess, rejoice! Denuvo is being hurt bad the bad PR enough to launch a full on propaganda war. One such weapon in their arsenal: Giving "trusted" outlets access to both the unDRM and the DRM copies of the game.

Now for anyone who knows game's journalism, you do not bite the hand that feeds you. Your income revolves around being one of the first to the punch when it comes to a review and the only way to be first is to ensure studios like you enough to give you early access copies.

Does anyone here think these outlets are going to say that Denuvo is slow? Not if they ever want that kind of access again! "Trusted" is right. "Trusted" to be in Denuvo's pocket.

After a lengthy $10,000,000 lawsuit, TorGuard has conceded to movie studios and is now banning BitTorrent traffic and is now keeping logs on American users and servers.

Hi all,

Was wondering if there are any users of Soggfy on here that has experience with how their file naming works more intricatly and could give me some tips.

With the default settings I used to test that it was functioning correctly it created a folder with the artist name and then placed the ripped files within that folder, however the default wasn't quite what I wanted in terms of information and order of that information.

It has the operators you can use to get different information but ever since I changed it up I have had to fight it to get the output I wanted. Looking at the default in the podcasts section it looked like I could use / to break up the information but using this kept getting me errors in the ripping process. Using a hyphon between the artist and album name seemed to work and output correctly however putting one between the track name and artist caused an error.

I have managed to find a setup that just about gives me what I wanted even though it isn't exactly as I would I like it will suffice however ever since the first test run I did it no longer creates a folder for that artist and just slaps them all in the same folder.

Does anyone with more experience of this have any tips for getting more control over the output files? How do I make it create folders again?

I can work with what I have and it is fine but it just adds a layer of organisation post rip that I obviously dont need to do.

There are two kinds of colours that appear in each torrent entry in Nyaa's listings:

  • One for the rectangle in the "Category" column. I see many different colours there: purple, red, dark and light grey, green, orange, dark and light yellow...

  • One for the whole row. Here I've only seen three different colours so far: white, green, red.

Do these colours, especially the second, mean anything?

Nyaa's Help page mentions the meaning of four "torrent colours": green, red, orange, grey. But they don't say where these colours appear. If they mean the row colour, then I've never seen an orange or grey one. So I'm very confused. Maybe the Help page is outdated?

OK, not a life-or-death matter, but I've been curious about this for a long time...

I've used the megathread to make a super basic proof-of-concept for my own streaming setup, and I'm not sure where to prioritize upgrading first and in what way. Any help is appreciated!

Current setup: I got a subscription to a VPN, so I figure I'll use that until it runs out. I have that with my main PC (a laptop, I haven't been able to save for a proper gaming PC yet), a torrent client, and Plex. I tested it out with one TV show and one movie with the Plex app on my TCL Series 4 Roku TV and it seems to work! The video and audio quality work even better when I turn my VPN off and it can tell my server is "nearby", but whatever.

Possible Improvements I've Seen People Talk About: I figure I should split off some of these services from my main laptop. I don't really want to keep it on 24/7, and I should save the room on it for games and other projects. I'll put things I've seen people talk about below, but not sure what order to do stuff to make the best Netflix replacement.

  • I can buy another smaller machine or two I can use as a server. Not sure whether to put the torrent parts on it, so it can torrent while I'm at work and stuff, make it host the Plex server, or both. And even then, I'm not sure whether to use an NAS, raspberry pi, NUC, Nvidia Shield TV Pro, buy or find an old cheap laptop, a ThinkClient I saw another post suggest, etc. I need something super small and quiet because I am splitting a small place right now. Should I get 2? One to torrent things while I'm gone and one to host Plex, or can I put them on the same machine?

  • Or should I start improving other parts of the torrenting and streaming experience? I've seen people mention Sonarr, Radarr, and other applications that I haven't experimented with yet.

  • Or should I just port all of this into a seedbox hosted by someone else even though I have the VPN subscription for awhile longer? It would clear up some room but I'd hate to be tied to a subscription.

  • I know I'll also need to buy more storage soon to make it a viable library, too.

What do you all think should prioritize next?

Some PTs I’m on state it’s okay to re-direct my traffic through a server to browse the site. Issue is I don’t know what software to use to do this.

I want to make a flutter app to browse forums on PTs is really why I’m doing this. I hope to bring more life into the usually slow forums.
