In a well-intentioned yet dangerous move to fight online fraud, France is on the verge of forcing browsers to create a dystopian technical capability. Article 6 (para II and III) of the SREN Bill would force browser providers to create the means to mandatorily block websites present on a government provided list.

I don't agree that it's "well-intentioned" at all but the article goes on to point out the potential for abuse by copyright holders.

Got a copy of Borderlands (EU iso) from the r/ROMS megathread and found out there is securom verification (which I have absolutely no experience with) as part of the installation process.

Closest I have found to a solution to bypass so far after some brief searching was one "Generic Securom 7/8 by Virusek" off of the "LOSTFILESARCHIVE" github page, which leads to a 404 page (even on the wayback machine).

Are there any programs or patches you would recommend to bypass this god awful drm?

I know that if you want to get around geoblocking content, normally you just use a VPN from the location you need.

Now I am using a streaming app on Android from a tv program of my home country, they implemented geoblocking already long ago on their website but now the app is also going the same way. Much of the content is blocked now.

Is there an simple way I can have a VPN connection open just for this app on my phone? Or are there other ways to fool the app into thinking its in the right location?

Is there any repository for Offline Private Servers for Multiplayer/Online Only games ?

I found Genshin Impact Offline, World Of Warcraft Offline, and Lineage 2 Offline on rutracker . And thats all i found.

I was wondering if there was another repository that had more multiplayer games available offline ? I'd love to be able to play TERA or PoE or DnD offline

After a discussion and co-operation with PTP senior-staff, We would like to extend a limited time opportunity to all PTP users for a chance to apply for an MTV account. We fully expect PTP to come back stronger than ever, but we understand this may be a difficult time. PTP holds a special place in our hearts as it does for the community as a whole, and we are excited to see their return :ptplove: :mtvlove:

We are extending this as a courtesy to the community. Please do not abuse this or it will disappear :(

The more information you include, the more likely your application is to be accepted. MTV is in no way to be a replacement for your PTP usage upon their return. Just add it into your rotation as they will compliment each other. Don't forget after getting accepted, to view your security page to add your 2 factor authentication and/or create an API key for direct input into your *arr instance.

Note: Ensure you use the same exact email address you use with PTP

Apply at https://morethantv.me/application

We expect you to act as you would on PTP they are watching ( ͡◉◞ ͜ʖ◟ ͡◉)

Is this a thing? i.e: a FOSS Linux system but with pre-configured pirated apps.

Imagine installing Linux and having Microsoft word, Adobe products, or some games pre-installed without pain.

I know grammarly is a privacy nightmare but so is turnitin. I only have one chance to submit my assignment and want to use grammarly plagerism checker before I submit.

A while ago I remember using grammarly cookies to login but can't seem to find ones that work. I have been using search engines. Is there a discord server i can join or any alternatives?

Arr harr! Where would a not-so-hungry sailor find WRC rally streams?

I know it is very untypical to look for ships that sail on land in the middle of a forest.

for some background, I'm on latest stable Kubuntu. able to use Microsoft Office via a KVM+Winapps setup currently. it mostly works but there are a few kinks like the display frame getting fucked up when going full screen or windowed, drag and drop being hit or miss and whatnot...

i did read up on Office 2019 being installable using Wine, but wasn't able to find any methods to activate it. MAS isn't really a thing on wine since we don't have Powershell I believe. any ideas?

I like watching things like educational tv or some competition shows if they are objective and have good sportsmanship... stuff that definitely does not appear in the top ten list, probably not the top 50 list. Assuming I should not mention show names here but will mention on DM if woul;d help.

I've found public torrent sites and dht searches can be hit or miss. For older episodes, if I can even find torrents at all, then there are no seeds. But some of the shows I like, it seems like the scene release groups just completely ignore them... despite covering past seasons. I've had this happen with 2 different shows (one while rarbg was still around, another just this last month). One I'm currently looking for, I found only EZTV covering and they completely skipped one of the episodes.

I've had bad experiences with private trackers in the distant past. But even if I was willing to try again, I saw one or too that want you to reveal your real (e.g. non-VPN) IP addres and am waay too fuckign paranoid to do that. Do you guys think I'd have better luck on usenet? If not, is there something else you guys would recommend? I am looking to have offline copies similar to what you get with torrents (streaming might be an option if there are ways to download that don't require me being smart enough to do video editing or having to manually record)

edit: just to clarify, I ahve read the megathread here and on the old pre-reddit migration r/piracy. have tried practically every public torrent tracker and dht search engine (btdig/solidtorrents/etc) i can think of as well as looking on most of the direct download sites i can access.

First of all, I want to clarify that I have 0 relationship with the development of this project and I am simply a Linux user who always wanted something similar to IDM and I want to share my discovery with more people, with the hope that this program will become more famous. .

Now, File Centipede as its own Github description mentions is a Cross-platform internet upload/download manager for HTTP(S), FTP(S), SSH, magnet-link, BitTorrent, m3u8, ed2k, and online videos. WebDAV client, FTP client, SSH client.

For those who have used IDM, File Centipede serves exactly the same purpose and has the typical features of any download manager, including torrent file support, plus it's open source and works extremely well in my experience.

File Centipede has a browser extension (Chromium/Firefox) that allows you to download almost any video from the Internet, in the style of IDM, a little icon appears on top of the video frame to click and download. And also, if you have this extension installed, File Centipede intercepts downloads from your browser, and personally I am very surprised that it can intercept downloads from sites like MegaDB or Vimm(dot)net, when programs like JDownloader, FDM, XDM could not. intercept or simply downloaded an .html.

Now, not all that shines is gold and I want to include something that you are going to run into if you try the program. File Centipede is a program that has been in development for a little less than a year, and has absolutely 0 ads, but when you go to their downloads, you will find that there are two versions, a "Premium Edition" and a "Free Edition", the Premium Edition is the "Most Updated" version, it has more functions and capabilities, but after a while you will get a pop-up telling you that you need an "Activation Code", and it is important to mention that the program does not stop working if you just ignore the pop-up, it works exactly the same but at times you will have that pop-up. If you wanted to buy the activation code, the developer allows you to pay a lifetime version for $28, or you can pay $0.02 for one day, that is, if you pay $1 you will have an activation code that will work for 50 days, and the developer makes it clear that all purchases are simply to motivate him to continue working on File Centipede and they will be refunded. And he warns that once the project reaches 100k stars on Github the Premium version will become free.

In case you don't want or can't pay the activation code, the dev releases a key each day (usable by everyone, if I use it you can too) on his official site every day that eliminates that pop-up.

Well, that being said, I hope someone finds File Centipede as useful as I do, personally I haven't seen any performance hit in the browser if anyone is concerned.

If both of those aren't possible, how viable is it to clone 1337x?

Is there any more recent rips of the Blinkist library? Only ones I can find are now 3 years old.

Alternatively are there ways of automating saving “blinks” and downloading them for offline listening on an android. I think one way to get everything is to manually go through all categories, saving, downloading for offline and then pulling them off the phone

I heard it was possible, with BiglyBT bridges, but I never used BiglyBT and can't get it to work.

I have

  • working i2p proxy
  • BiglyBT installed with i2p helper

I would have no problem with command line commands
