Jerboa

Before the last update, collapsed comments would stay collapsed even after leaving the post. After the last update they decollapse again.

Just want to thank the devs for all of their hard work, there are so many Lemmy apps available now and some of them are pretty nice but at the end of the day I just love Jerboa for it's functionality, income is a little tight for me just at the moment but I'll definitely be donating in the next few weeks when I can

As the title says, along with ~10% of people I'm a lefty. Is it possible to reverse the layout of my feed?

Right now to delete a post I need to use the website. I'd love to have better mod tooling in this app.

The link that gets generated when sharing a post or comment is not recognized by the app.

So if I send a link to a mate and then click it myself (or he does, doesnt matter), then the browser-app opens instead of the jerboa app.

Is there a possibility of fixing this? Or is it not possible because of the different instances which generate different urls?

I don't want to share nothing and I don't want to press the button by accident.

For some reason, in Jerboa, my autovorrect doesn't work. Is anyobe else experiencing this? (I usually correct my mistajes, but I want to point them out)

I made accounts on other instances but they don't appear on Jerboa because they don't have space in the sidebar.

~~There are some instances which I'd like to block entirely. I think this is on the Lemmy development roadmap, but until it's implemented, can we pretty please have the ability to do this through Jerboa? I'm still browsing all communities as a way of finding new communities to subscribe to, but there are some instances whose content I never want to see and they clutter up my feed. Blocking each individual community from these instances is a pain; there should be a better solution available.~~

Sorry guys I had a massive brain fart, I already posted a request about this a week ago. For some reason I can't delete this post so please ignore!

I have my default sort set to "Hot" inside lemmy.world. When I open Jerboa, it shows posts from my subscribed communities sorted by "Hot", like it's supposed to. However, whenever I open a community, it show the posts sorted by "Active", and I have to switch to "Hot". This is different from the main web site, which uses my default sort when opening a community. Changing the sort inside the app doesn't change anything - the next time I open any community, it's sorted by "Active".

It would be nice if Jerboa was fixed this so communities were sorted by my default sort by default. I've made (simple) Android apps before, so I can try looking into it. But mostly I don't know the appropriate way to add an issue so it gets tracked and fixed eventually.

The title. Basically, when I look at the replies (notifications) and I tap to see where that reply is, the nest comment sort is reverse 🤨, and in some cases, not present at all (it shows up as a new comment in the post, but in fact it's a reply to my comment).

If you just look at that post and comments in "normal mode", everything's fine, no reverse nested order of comments. I've noticed this problem only shows up when viewing replies, but only if you follow (tap) on the links from Notifications.

EDIT: To everyone reading this, this is not a Jerboa bug, it's a backend bug (BE). Instances that have BE version 0.18.4 don't have this bug... so, we have to bug our admins to update the BE.

Is there a way to make scrolling less sensitive, there are times I try to scroll vertically and it stops because I am not scrolling in a perfect straight line. Or I am in the wrong axis and I am actually scrolling horizontally instead of vertically because I started a bit crooked, there is no leeway.

This is the only application I have encountered this issue. If I am a bit off I can't scroll. Is there an option I have missed?

I joined a couple new instances and they won't show up on my sidebar on the app. This may be because I am unable to delete an instance from which I was banned from the sidebar. How do I get rid of it?

Hi, is there a way to specify a default save location for Jerboa on Android?

FiskFisk23 and my comment are both replies to Botree's comment, it gets even more confusing when tapping Show context a second or third time.

I was once able to nearly infinitely zoom in on images after opening the post. Now I get a limited zoom which bounces back to a set zoom limit.

@jerboa Feature request: it would be amazing for the search function to let you know when something can't be found anywhere or if it is still searching

Does anyone else have this weird backspace behavior when writing comments? I would describe it like this:

When writing a comment or a post I sometimes press backspace a few times to correct a word. This will delete a few characters and then delete the space between the current word and the word before this word, resulting in: first wordsecon

Can anyone describe this in a more technical way? Is this already an issue on github? I couldn't find it last time I looked.

It would be a nice feature to be able to select which installed browser jerboa defaults to opening external links in.

I.E. the list of my own posts in my profile is always empty, by definition, unless I go manually change the setting before viewing it, and then change it back when I'm done.

Would this be a Jerboa issue, or a general Lemmy issue?

Some posts include so many possible actions, some will get pushed off the bottom of the screen.
