It would be convenient to swipe away posts I've already seen. Something I got used to as a habit on RIF once I got it setup.

Definitely not a deal breaker but might make for a nice UX add.

Is there notifications in jerboa when we have a reply?

New to lemmy and I downloaded jerboa the first day i came over and I didn't know how to use it. Been using the lemmy.world website and have an understanding now. Now jerboa is easy to use

Is there a way to hide scores on posts/comments as in the web UI? I peeked the code and the user preference is loaded, it's just the code that displays the scores doesn't seem to check against the user preference.

Can't find this setting anywhere in Jerboa.

I've figured out how to block communities, but is there anyway to block whole instances?

What is the default comment sort? It doesn't seem to be by time or votes.

Also is there any way to change the way comments are sorted like I can with posts?

EDIT: Found this. It explains how the active and hot sorts work, but it doesn't go over default sort or changing the sort.

If I want to shoot my wife a picture/gif/video I find through telegram, there doesn't seem to be a nice way to do it. I know there's going to be a lot of comparisons being made, but the android app Relay had it down. It didn't permanently download anything to my phone, just a temporary download to send and then it was gone. The same process for any media.

Posts weren't loading so I reinstalled. Now it crashes when I try log in. Just stops and gives a timeout notif. I'm using fdroid is it matters

I feel like the scrolling feels slow and janky. It doesn't really accelerate and slows down pretty fast. But it might be a issue with my phone because I had the same for a few weeks on reddit. Does anyone else have that problem?

For some reason, I'm finding Jerboa to be extremely laggy today when scrolling around or doing pretty much anything. Yesterday it wasn't like this at all, doesn't look like I've gotten an update. Not sure what changed. Force closing Jerboa didn't help.

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

EDIT: I don't believe this is a server load issue - it appears to be app itself, although I guess scrolling around could be blocked on async server calls. After force closing and clearing app cache it's a bit better.

Is it due to my instance, or are embedded .mp4 and .gif not playing on the client? They work on the instance webpage

Here is when a .gif is uploaded to the server (gets converted to mp4). It shows a generic Android icon.

When a .gif is directly embed instead, it shows but doesn't play on the client.

Hi everyone. Phenomenal job with the app, it's really looking like it could replace reddit with no trouble.

I'm getting timeout issues though, every time I upvote something. I'm sure it's nothing but I wanted to give you the heads-up.

One more suggestion is to make it easier to find communities on here! Then it'll be perfect.

Is creating new communities possible right now? Or will it be? There is a feature request on github from January last year without any comments, so I wondered if it is even desired.

For some reason most /c/links will open in browser rather than in the app. I can go to app info -> open by default and select a bunch of instances, but am unable to add any myself (despite there being an "add link" text, but I'm unable to click it).

Is there any solution to that?

Is it possible to change the interface language of Jerboa? I'm using my phone in german, but want to use Jerboa with an english interface

Past few days i have been unable to read the materials within Linux Community Have subscribed & it works on Firefox with laptop. It opens, all text is visible for a sec, then dark & nothing to interact with via UI I guess it's a bug on something inside Jerboa?

Is there any option to add scroll momentum and/or increase speed? Scrolling feels just a little "stuck" compared to other apps.
