Might just be me, or local to me (UK) but although I know 0.0.34 has been out on Fdroid for a while, I'm still not seeing it in the Play Store. Anyone know if it's going to be there soon?

I appreciate that I can sideload, hut I'm thinking more of people who only discover it there and who won't be getting the latest version.

In the linked comment, I am lamenting that on Jerboa, you cannot easily see where the post’s link goes. When you click it, Android parses the domain name rather than filetype so the default action is to open with Jerboa. Because Jerboa cannot open the video, it just shows the instance’s home feed. The user needs to share/copy and paste the link to see the URL and deduce that it should be opened with a video player.

So please give Lemmy-hosted video links an appropriate icon (▶️/🎞/🎥 rather than ⛓️) and open them with an external app by default (the user can choose VLC or whatever) unless a built-in video player is getting implemented. Alternatively, a RIF-style pop-up would be appreciated to view the destination URL and offer actions like “Share/Copy/Go”, or even navigate to next/previous hyperlinks in comments (useful for fat-fingered users).

I fat fingered while trying to join a community and accidentally blocked it. I can't see how to unblock it anywhere. Is there a way to do that that I'm missing? TIA

it seems, when there is a load issue for the comments of a post, I'm just getting shown the comments of the previously opened post.

On the menu bar at the bottom of the screen, the description of the search button and the one beside the profile are the same "search"

Is it supposed to be like this?

Hey, just wondering if there's a way to change the default Lemmy instance the app uses.

I'm sure this feature is headed to the core of Lemmy but it would probably be an easy hide command in this app.

I was so confused when I was seeing posts 4 years old. "Old" isn't even supposed to be an option lol.

Tested with other options, seems like TopWeek becomes TopDay, TopMonth becomes TopWeek, TopYear becomes TopMonth, and TopAllTime becomes TopYear.

So for now, you can enjoy seeing the creation of the Fediverse and read posts in reverse with this hidden option.

Is there going to be an option for push notifications on the future?

I don't care about push notifications on most social media, but it's nice to see when I get replies and DMs on here.

Not sure about the technicalities of it. Are the protocols similar enough for this?

If I have an account on one instance [lemm.ee] is there a way to browse another instance [lemmy.world] locally without creating an account in that instance or going to my browser and typing in the url?

How, when say, scrolling through comment 2's replies, does one jump to the next 'main' comment/reply (e.g. jump straight to the next one, comment 3).

Also, obviously I got the terminology wrong and would welcome corrections so I can make myself more clear in the future. Thank you.

On the subscribed community list (swipe from the left side of the screen) the communities I'm subscribed to are sorted A>Z and then a>z as shown in the image, so they seem to be case sensitive.

A minor nitpick, but are the devs aware assuming this is not intended behaviour?

I would like to sort comments mostly by top/hot, but sometimes by new. I can't seem to find this feature. An I missing something or is it not developed yet?

I'm used to the flow of seeing an image post -> pressing share button -> selecting chat app -> sharing image directly. Is this possible with Jerboa, and if not is it a feature on the way? I don't like needing to save an image locally first to share or sharing full URLs, so this would be nice for me. :)

Hi. Is there a plan to add a function that allows the searching of individual posts?

If I'm scrolling and I tap on a post to read the comments, and then I go back to where I was scrolling it automatically refreshes and loses my place in the feed

Ive been getting a bug where typing in the app, like a comment or something, if I repeatedly press backsapce to fix a typo or something, it will delete the spaces before words.

Also saving an image crashes the app every time.

And sometimes the names of communities in feed get their last word removed. So I would see post from 'you should' rather than 'you should know'

And also, the app constantly goes back to the top of 'Subscribed - Active'. So if ive been browsing 'All - Top day' for an hour, sometimes clicking on a post and then backing out again will jump straight back to top of 'Subscribed - Active'.

Edit: a one that comes up for me too is getting messages appear on screen for a couple of seconds. Sometimes they say 'Timeout' but other times its 'Value <html'> of type java.lang.String cannot be converted to JSONObject'

Not sure what that means but just thought I'd mention it here in case anyone else is experienceing similar
