I bought a switch because I wanted to fit in with everyone else and play party games with friends (fuck family). I played Mario party and I had a good time, it was fun and the RNG was great I had never in my life played a game where it didn’t matter how well you did it could all fuck up at the end which happened MULTIPLE times. I don’t know why I bought a switch because I realized later I could have just purchased the joy remotes for a disgusting 70 dollars but instead I went to my friends house like a fucking doofus showing up with a Nintendo switch under my arm and the device literally dropping onto the floor after it came loose from the dick. “You don’t need to use yours” my friend laughed “we just need one” are you fucking kidding me? “Then why the fuck did you tell me to get one?” Mood changed instantly, not my fault.

I wasn’t having fun at all, I was just thinking “I spent 300 dollars on this piece of shit, that’s 4 grocery shopping days, that’s more clothes, that’s this that whatever anything but this piece of filth Nintendo switch you fucking losers go soy over. So every time it’s my turn I angrily play and I make sure people know I’m angry, it got to a point I rolled so poorly I threw my joycon and left the couch, everyone went quiet but I didn’t give a fuck. One of my friends who has a romantic interest in me (not reciprocated) started rubbing me on my back, “bad day?” They said and I just felt even more angry but this time the anger was directed towards them. “I know you like me but I don’t like you” I said, they cried, left, don’t care, I spent 300 dollars on a piece of shit I’m never going to use.

None of my friends know how to navigate around me so it always feels like they’re hostages trying to ease their way out of the situation where they have a gun pointed at them, it’s pretty selfish of them considering I was the hostage and they were the shooters shooting me with “buy switch” or “Zelda is a good game it’s just like dark souls” or “get one it’ll improve your mood” has it fucking really? Has it improved my mood? What would improve my mood would be if someone paid me 300 dollars to piss shit and set the switch on fire and then throw it at someone playing happily’s head, that would improve my mood. Instead I have to use my adult fingers to navigate around a tiny ass “controller” it’s a fucking joke, just to have fun… your idea of “fun.”

I get Zelda because if it wasn’t clear already I am a dickhead, “it’s like dark souls” that one prick told me, wrong, nothing like dark souls why did I listen to this prick? My life is like dark souls because I have people laughing and lying at me, I’m always losing my SOULS because some MERCHANT “”friends”” tells me to buy this item because it will improve my VITALITY what a load of bullshit. Zelda sucks it looks like a unity project some kid made on the school computers, the story is literally “we repackaged the first game and sold it to you again because you are a loser and keep paying us money.” Tale as old as time for all Nintendo games tbh, smash, Metroid, Mario, Mario kart, sonic, Zelda, insufferable pokemon. I see a lot of people on hexbear talk shit about funko pops as they should, but the moment you condemn pokemon they go off on you like you killed their family. What the fuck, really?

I’ll give it away

We finished the game! We got the "sad" ending on the neutral route. The ending was quite good, in our opinion. Let's talk about it!

I just want to make silly shitpost movies. You can't tell me Jerma went to all this trouble to make that rat movie. (Maybe it worked on modern Windows back then? Rat Movie is like almost a decade old I guess)

The International Society of Intersectional Socialists (ISIS) requires more comrades for the resistance! Everything is subject to change depending on what most people prefer but plan on playing the antistasi gamemode (A guerrilla gamemode where you build up your resistance faction and take over the map from the occupiers and invaders), our presets/modlists are usually above 20 mods BUT most of the mods are under 10MB, with the exception of RHS/CUP. Of course the modlist is flexible to whatever people prefer and we can take out the bigger mods (RHS/CUP/UNSUNG/whatever). Of course the era is just dependent on the mods or viceversa.

Fucking gone. Get fucked.

Private reports for months and months? Fuck all results.

A bit of public agitation kicks off and itchio freaked the fuck out and blasted it instantly.

EDIT: Celebration might be premature, it's been taken down pending investigation of whether it breaks their ToS or not. It could reappear, hopefully fucking not though. Gonna publicly agitate even more if it does, this shit works.

So, I started a new game of Stellaris with a few light mods. I have some time on my hands, about 14 days. Despite playing Stellaris for over 600 hours, I've never finished a full game. With that said, I'd also like to dive into EUIV at some point. I did play EUIV briefly in the past, but I never truly grasped the game's deeper mechanics. Fourteen days seems like it could provide a foundational understanding of EUIV. Who knows, EUIV might become my new favorite game, especially considering the vast amount of content available for it. On the other hand, Stellaris feels like comfort food; I can relax while building up my space nation. In my quest for an answer, I'm once again turning to the brilliant minds on Hexbear to assist me.

It's always sad to see genius left unrecognized because the world wasn't ready for it yet.

This guy could have millions of views on youtube and wouldn't even have to change his username when he pivots from reactionary video game idiot to full on DS* contributor.

I was snooPINGASusual around various cite notes and links at the bottom of Sonic articles on Sonic Retro, Sonic Wiki and plain ol' Natopedia, as one does. I like to do this sometimes to clarify things I don't know about Sonic, such as: gamertypes will frequently say shit like "Sonic Adventure started out on Saturn!" when in reality, it seems like Sonic Team started in April/May 1997 with Saturn as hardware and the Nights engine as their engine, found out that both were inadequate for the sweeping, story-based Sonic game they were cooking. Sonic Team was informed of the Dreamcast in June-ish 1997, at which point they stopped their work, compiled what they had (basically a tech demo) into Sonic World on Sonic Jam for Saturn, and presumably restarted everything with Dreamcast as target hardware in July 97. This makes a lot more sense, since Sonic World and Sonic Adventure have basically 0 in common :)

The last two days have seen me nosing around about Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 development & prerelease info, because Sonic 06 is such a classic. Most of it is stuff I knew about, because nothing new has been discovered lately. However I thought myself down a lil think train, to the tune of "What does the chronology look like for Sonic Team moving from the 2006 game to Unleashed?" Turns out it's messed up! See here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20081018182131/http://blogs.ign.com/SEGA_SonicUnleashed/

According to the game's own PRODUCER, the Hedgehog Engine that powers Unleashed was in development as of 2005. This raises so many questions: Did the team just chuck 2006's engine together all slapdash, then? What does Sonic 06 even run on, does it have any relation to Heroes and the RenderWare stuff? How many teams did Sonic Team have if Sonic 06, Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Unleashed/Hedgehog engine were all in-dev at once? When Sonic Team was making both an ambitious, globally-illuminated next-gen engine and a hugely ambitious Sonic Adventure style game (06) on proprietary tech at the same time, what did that decision look like? How fucked was Sonic Team's development pipeline?

I ask my fellow Hexbears, if you have any info on this I'd like to hear it. I had always assumed that the Hedgehog Engine was a reactionary result of how bad 06's tech was and how poorly that game did, that they had planned on 06's engine being their main one going forward but scrapped it immediately and rushed the Hedgehog Engine into development. Knowing that the two were developed side-by-side is brain boggling.
