The confederates are luddites who have the same exact policies as New Africa, which I freed in the recent US war with Mexico that fucked their economy. It just seems like New Africa is trying to create a secret police force and the confederacy thinks ACAB. The Free States of America is a monarchy without slavery while the USA is a democratic slave state.

I have taken the side of New Africa and the Free States of America, gaining Liberia and the entire American South as protectorates. I am the Chad Austria-Hungary, destroyer of worlds.

I just don't get how they seem to be unplayable or completely impenetrable to so many people. I'd say it's a generational thing but even many people who grew up playing PS1 games act like trying to figure them out in 2024 completely short circuits their brains

Now, would I want to play some hypothetical fast paced 3D action game from the 90s where they used tank controls because they didn't know any better? No, but they work perfectly fine in slower-paced games like Resident Evil-style survival horror or the first five Tomb Raider games (though the camera kind of sucks in those, but it took a long time for 3D games to figure out how to handle that in general)

Maybe I'm just weird for enjoying tank controls. Some survival horror games that came out in the PS2 era like Silent Hill 2 and 3 gave you the option between 2D and 3D (tank controls) movement and I always pick the latter if I get the chance

I love the medieval timber frame look on walls, sadly though UO's options for it are limited.

Even if you have a physical copy of the game, under US law all you own is the literal piece of plastic, not any of the data on it itself. If the EULA said you're not allowed to run the game anymore, then continuing to run the game would technically be illegal. ... In every legal capacity, Americans own nothing.

holy shit lmao, LAND OF THE FREE folks! amerikkka-clap

I bounced off this game once because going through the levels for the first time can be a bit frustrating. At least it doesn't punish you for dying like Shovel Knight does. Where it really hits its groove is when you memorize the level layout and start chasing achievements & P-ranks, the movement is just soooooo fluid and the music/animations are absolutely perfect. Unbelievable but also very inspirational that a game of this quality was made by only a couple of people!

Raided an Artisan's Stash and fought off the monsters guarding it. But I really can't use the stuff inside since I don't have a crafter..yet so I'm gonna have to spin up another alt.
