I legit thought it was made up after that Onion video about Andorra. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q_iqrvnC_4 and now I just feel bad about my geographic knowledge as a map gamer.

We already had a coalition from hell with the Conservative neo-lib party of VVD[that has been in power from 1998 to 2007 and then again from 2010 to now], the christian dems v2.0[NSC], the farmers party and the fascist light party of Geert Wilders.

Now it seems that this coalition is already approaching our even further right parties[FvD and its off-shoot, JA21] to work together in the senate.

To be clear, FvD are mask off fascists, its leader constantly peddles any fascist theory he can get his hands on including all the anti-vax shit that is bringing back diseases. Ontop of that one of it prominent members has proven connections to neo-nazi orgs.

Leaked group chats also show that its members are all extremely antisemitic. Which is somehow not a problem to the biggest lover of Isreal in the western world, Geert wilders. Who, should be noted, has lived in the west bank[as a settler] and is planning on moving our embassy to Jerusalem.

Like I grew up essentially being a homeschooled church kid (who was also abused too) living in a rural rural area, not like a suburb like actual countryside. The homeschooled part is kinda just more that my parents sorta given up on trying after 6th grade. The church kid part was mostly enforced by my parents to try to have a social outlet for me. But at the end of it I just don't know how to talk to people, which has its own set of negative consequences.

It gets worse when any resemblance of community around here is steeped heavily in religion of the evangelical variety. So even if I wanted to I couldn't do anything without being told some nonsense about how everything wrong with me is that I'm a 'lost sheep' that needs to reconnect with god. Including going to get therapy, because I've heard that some of the professionals here is on that BS too.

And the more I'm thinking about it, the more I feel like I'm completely screwed out of having a relatively normal life. Not to mention I found a way to unintentionally self sabotage the first relationship I had.

And this just turned into me rambling about my situation.

I am not much of an implementers, but if we wanted to do something to target and reform our screwed up society, I have an idea. The great vulnerability of our capitalist culture, especially in the U.S. and Western Europe, is fractional reserve banking.

For those that don't know, a quick summary is that any given bank only has to keep a small percentage of their deposits on hand. This allows them to invest other people's money for fun and profit. Many resources explain the concept and its evils in far more detail than I can get into here.

So how is this an exploitable weakness? Well, if you have seen It's a Wonderful Life, you probably already know. Because banks only hold a fraction of the reserves needed to cover their depositors' accounts, they are vulnerable to "runs." A run on a bank happens when the customers lose confidence that the bank will be able to cover their deposits and rush to withdraw their money before the bank runs out of money (FDIC insurance was setup to protect depositors from this phenomenon).

How do we use this to fight the bankstas? We deliberately cause runs on banks. Of we can get enough people to withdraw their money from a bank, the bank won't be able to return people's money to them. Even if you don't have an account with the target bank, you can help by spreading fear (Big Bank is the targetof an internet attack, ge yourmoneyout before they collapse - you don't want to have to wait for the FDIC to give you your money, do you?) An additional collateral attack than can be made is to simply not pay any debts (mortgages, credit cards, etc) owed to that same bank. The non-payments will accelerate the time frame for which the bank will run out of money.

Also, if you short the bank's stock before the run or when it starts, you can profit from the banks collapse.

The real key to the plan (the part I haven't figured out yet) is how do we get enough people to panic over a particular bank to get the party started. Subsequent banks should be easier after the first.

Be aware that some states have laws that make inciting a run on a bank illegal, although the constitutionality of such laws is still up for debate. Truth is a defense to libel, so if there is an attempt to sue for that, you get to conduct in depth discovery on the financial condition of the bank (just how bad are all of those loans and derivative instruments they hold? How low is their cash in hand compared to their depositors receipts?)

Rant: I first went to Popular Mechanics and the site wasted my time. They didn't have a single photo. What the fuck!

So I did post some Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) stuff here and there. This is the longest I've posted so far. I hope those of you who like these enjoy this one. I'm gonna go to sleep now and will be back later. I hope some of you share your builds and thoughts.

I plan to create some CYOAs of my own when I have time this year. I might post them if there is interest.

This is one of the more upsetting redditor stories I've run into and it's not even that bad for the storyteller. The monstrosity of the system is its purpose, from being forced to call a hotline every day to find out if you're being randomly tested that day or violate parole, to being able to pay off your community service hours, to being told you have to spend time in prison but it can just be nights on the weekends all underscores that the cruelty is the point.

This is a challenge I am posing to the community . Prove to me that there is something worse than this. I can't imagine what it is but I feel like I have to know.

This was the week that the verdict in the trial of George Floyd's murderer was being read out. The Democrats made it very clear that if the pig was acquitted dissent would be put down by force. The GOP never sent thousands of soldiers to occupy my city in order to protect the murderous police state. But O'Brandon will stop the fascism!
