From the 7th of April to the 9th, the European Central Bank spoke extensively about the Digital Euro, expressing hope about its potential and publishing an update of its rulebook. Its President, Christine Lagarde, also called for it, wishing to end European reliance on international payment solutions providers such as VISA, Mastercard, PayPal, Stripe and others.

Basically an alternative to this:

https://koss.com/products/ksc35-wireless

I've always hated buds, but also can't wear standard over ear headphones when riding a bike with a helmet on. They're also useful in the winter.

Looking specifically for clip on over ear headphones. Wired or wireless, although wireless would be preferred. So far the only ones I've ever found are cheap ones on Alibaba that will shock you in the winter (and break easily) and these Koss ones that have been really good quality, but are American.

Schleswig-Holstein, one of Germanyโ€™s 16 states, on Wednesday confirmed plans to move tens of thousands of systems from Microsoft Windows to Linux. The announcement follows previously established plans to migrate the state government off Microsoft Office in favor of open source LibreOffice.

Per the title, what options exist in Europe for independent authors and creators to make themselves known and sell their work/receive support from fans, besides through their own personal websites?

Smashwords was the almost default option for years for indie authors; Amazon also took their piece of flesh. Then there was Patreon.

It always made sense to me to have an european alternative to those sites.

I've already found Xinxii and am in the process of exploring it.

What else is out there?

I need a new pair of headphones for my PC, what EU options are there? It would be good if they can be comfortably worn with glasses.

Can Canada create a food labeling system similar to this?

It's confusing trying to buy Canadian with all the variations of made in, assembled in, grown in, packaged in, etc. Can we copy the Australian food labeling system, perhaps replacing the kangeroo with a maple leaf? I find this much clearer.

As per one of the creators over on Reddit:

"Iโ€™m Amber, one of the founders of Griply: a goal-setting app proudly built in the Netherlands by a small self-funded team of four.

We created Griply out of frustration with how scattered personal development tools were. One app for goals, another for tasks, another for habitsโ€ฆ it just didnโ€™t make sense. So we built one app that brings it all together.

A lot of our users have switched from their โ€œregularโ€ task manager because they wanted something more goal focused - not just for ticking off tasks - but for making real progress on what matters to them.

With Griply, you can:

  • Set life goals and break them down into subgoals, habits & tasks -Make goals measurable with goal metrics (money, distance, weight, etc.) -Track your progress visually with charts -Organize by life area, priority, or type -Manage your daily tasks like any other task manager -Add widgets for your goals, habits, and tasks to your home screen -Use it across iOS, Mac, Windows & Web

Weโ€™re building this with a lot of passion. If youโ€™re into productivity, self-improvement, or just love trying out European-made tools, weโ€™d love for you to check it out. Any feedback is welcome."

An Android app is coming soon, and is in development. There's a signup on their website if you want to be notified when it's released.

Iโ€™m at work and am doing something easy while listening to music. What are current hits in your country - preferably in your language, but English can work too.

We had this post a couple of days ago and people were discussing the technical specs of the cable: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/24120349

Seems like it actually is not too good and it may be better to choose one of those recommended here: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/22937894
