Hello fellow Bloom County fans!

About this community and how I post the comic strip… The comics are posted in chronological order on the day (usually) they were released. Posting them to match the release date adds a bit of fun and nostalgia to match the experience of reading them in the newspaper for first time. Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. It really sucked when I missed a day. Only years later, when I got the books was I able to catch up on the missed strips.

Bloom County is an American comic strip by Berkeley Breathed which originally ran from December 8, 1980, until August 6, 1989. It examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in Middle America, where children often have adult personalities and vocabularies and where animals can talk. On July 12, 2015, Breathed started drawing Bloom County again. The first revived strip was published via Facebook on July 13, 2015... Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_County

I always assumed most comic artists created the Sunday strips in advance as one off story lines so they could have a day off. I hadn't realized it before but apparently Berkley didn't feel like doing Sunday strips at all for the first few months. He did create one for December 14 during the first week of the comic but it won't be until May 10 the Sunday comic returns. The first one is actually a colored version of the Dec 14 strip.

Anyway, there will be a new strip tomorrow and in the meantime why not purchase something from Berkley's store like this hand signed comic that's perfect for framing... https://www.berkeleybreathed.com/store/signed-strips/795

Looks like Berkeley took this day off back in 1980. I guess we can cut him some slack since the comic had only been running for a couple of weeks and he was still getting his feet under him. Matter of fact, why not support him by purchasing a cool Opus mug or something else!

New comic tomorrow and here's the link to his website/store... https://www.berkeleybreathed.com/new-products-1

Sorry everyone for posting this out of order. Somehow I got my dates screwed up on the last few starting on the 14th, but with this one we'll be back on track.
