My personal one is that my BGS spec hits harder if I am running to give it some extra juice.

Would be cool to have a momentum based weapon like a lance that has a spec dealing more damage based on tiles traveled.

Hop 40 worlds before you find a world that doesn't have a bot on it, go in. I'd say about 85% of the time the boss has already been tagged and the player killing it was forced to TP out so I get no kill credit on my first kill as an iron.

If I'm lucky, I actually manage to get the kill before a pker shows up, I've had a decent number of attempts at doing the boss end before I even get that first kill though. (the pker population there is absurd because the bots are actually possible to kill and farm for gp)

So, go back up, hop 40 more worlds to find a world that isn't occupied by a bot and rinse and repeat all the other steps. The most kills I've had at the boss without being interrupted so far is 2 and half.

The best part? I'm doing the boss the way I'm meant to, I have a scout outside, I've literally never been tagged by a pker at the boss let alone killed. Dying isn't the issue, the amount of time lost because a brainlet pker thinks they're going to somehow get me despite me having a scout and decide to enter the cave is the problem. A pker can waste 5+ minutes of my time in exchange for ~10 seconds of theirs.

And I know the first solution offered by people who have apparently never been in the wildy because it's awful advice "JUst UsE ToTAl LEveL WoRLdS" these worlds are literally the worst of the worst as far as doing spindel goes. Most of them are occupied (actually by real players and not bots) but beyond that they're literally the first worlds pkers check because they know real players use them.

I know I'm probably beating a dead horse at this point, but I am once again begging Jagex to support Linux for their Jagex Launcher.

Most likely you've done the calculation that the userbase is too small, and the dev resources required to engineer and maintain/support it on linux is not worth it. I would like to point out however that the Linux gaming community is growing rapidly - Steam's proton is a great example of this; and it's enabling many people to give Linux a try.

Windows 10 is no longer going to be supported as of October 2025 - and I know that many gamers including myself are reconsidering their relationship with Windows, and looking to move to Linux too.

This is make or break for many players. There are some third party community driven alternatives, but honestly, it's not a great experience.

Please reconsider your decision. It's devtime, which is ultimately money, but I think that the Linux community is growing, and for me at least, the one thing holding me back is my Jagex account. This may payoff in the future, especially if you want this game to have the longevity you're hoping it does.

Am I the only one that thinks the shark lure vs diabolic worms xp change is a bit odd? I understand you can change the rate at which shark lure is used (1, 3, or 5) for better success rates, but even just using one the xp change is pretty drastic.

For diabolic worms, you go from catching an anglerfish and gaining xp of 120 down to 79.2 (44% reduction) and then for shark lure you go from 110 xp down to 27.5 (75% reduction). Is there a reason this is not closer aligned to one another? Just seems like a massive decrease in xp for using shark lure vs the decrease you see for catching anglers with a similar method.

I do think adding things that make skilling more appealing is overall healthy for the game, but the difference in xp reduction here almost makes using the shark lure not even worth it. Am I crazy or do others agree?

Hey there!

As we continue our research into your experience of OSRS on mobile, we'd love for you to take part in a quick survey we've put together to share your thoughts. It covers your playstyle when it comes to OSRS on mobile, as well as your thoughts on some of the most common suggestions we see from the community.

We want to stress that this is all just exploratory work, and while we have detailed a host of commonly-requested updates or fixes, we're not committing to any of these right now. We will, however, be using this research to guide our work and it'll help us to prioritise which routes to investigate.

Any and all feedback you're able to leave is massively appreciated!

Take the survey here.

Back to a time when I’d get up at 6 AM so I could get some more play time in without my mom realizing how many hours I’d played that day.

RuneScape takes me back to a time before my dad died from complications from surgery, before my first high school crush died from an overdose. Back to when death just meant you would respawn in Lumbridge.

RuneScape takes me back, before I’d made many mistakes that would shape who I am. Mistakes worse than accidentally selling your Twisted Bow to the general store as an Ironman.

But it also takes me back to before my daughter was born, before I found out what it was like to be a father to the sweetest girl in the world.

The benefit of the good old days is we aren’t as scarred from life as we are now. But we also haven’t experienced it fully. So I’ll take this nostalgia with me, along for the ride with you guys. It’s players like you that keep this game alive for me, my friends who used to play in the early 2000s are scattered into the wind now.

So let’s mine some iron, even though we’ll likely never mine down in a mine shaft in real life.

Let’s cook some manta rays, though I doubt any of us will ever make that dish at home.

Join me for a beer in the Blue Moon Inn, and tell me your own woes in life. I’m buying.
