Hello r/2007scape. I've come to share my experience with Old School RuneScape as a completely new player, previously I've heard of RuneScape and heard some soundtrack, but never actually played it before recently.

Now I sit at Total Level 400 and something, with my combat level being around 40. I have 150k~ coin banked and over 1000 items sold on the GE. I'm mostly leveling combat stats, minus ranged. I'm a F2P but hope to earn enough for a Bond one day.

So here's my story. One lousy evening I had nothing better to do, so just thought, hey, RuneScape exists, I've never played MMORPG's before, but maybe I'll like it. So I downloaded it through Steam, registered, passed the Tutorial island, did some things for Joe and couple of quests around Lumbridge. I got stuck on the Ghost Quest cause the hut I thought was the old man's hut was closed behind members access (which is not the hut I needed) after I quick search on the wiki, I discovered what hut to go to and much, much, much more. Next few days went by in a daze, I was learning more every day and getting my skills higher and higher. I could never dedicate a day to a skill, some days I would fish, then cook, then sell, then make silver tiaras. I was fascinated. I usually don't like grind, but OSRS is so charming and social that I was captivated. I am in awe of this game and the community, I love it with all my heart and look forward to the years I will surely dedicate to it

My Wife is a lawyer and is currently going through depositions for a case.
