The shield phase adds nothing of value to the fight, having it happen repeatedly immediately following the car phase is unnecessary. One time is enough per level.

Or when the shield phase ends, can it at least damage the boss for ~100hp.

Here are all the ways you can eat and drink in Old School Runescape:

Normal eat:

• Click regular food
• Your next attack gets delayed for 3 ticks for each food eaten

Potion drink:

• Click potion
• You are "pot blocked" from eating another regular food for 3 ticks
• Your next attack does NOT get delayed (if you clicked between attacks)

Pot eat:

• Click regular food > any potion
• Potions that heal: Saradomin brew, Guthix rest and Snowy Knight
• You can also drink buff potions while you eat to save time
• Your next attack gets delayed for 3 ticks

Double eat:

• Click regular food > karambwan
• (if you don't have karmabwans, gnome restaurant food and toad legs is also combo food)
• Regular food incurs a 3 tick attack delay after
• Karambwan incurs a 2 tick attack delay after
• Your next attack gets delayed for 5 ticks

Psuedo "double" eat:

• Click cake/pizza/pie > regular food
• (this is not instant, has a small delay)
• Cake incurs 2 tick eat delay
• Pie incurs 1 tick eat delay
• Pizza incurs 1 tick eat delay if full, and 2 tick delay if half a pizza
• Your next attack gets delayed for 6 ticks

Triple eat:

• Click regular food > any potion > karambwan.
• Potions that can heal are: Saradomin brew, Guthix rest and Snowy Knight
• Saradomin brew also lowers your stats, so you should use a Restore potion after
• For 3x uses of a Saradomin brew, you must use 1x Restore potion to restore all stats.
• Your next attack gets delayed for 5 ticks

Quadruple eat:

• Click cake/pizza/pie > regular food > potion > karambwan
• Between cake/pizza/pie and regular food there is a small delay (see Fast Food wiki page)
• Your next attack gets delayed for 8 ticks

Fast food chain eating:

• Click cake/pizza/pie > cake/pizza/pie > cake/pizza/pie > ...
• Fastest HP recovery speed due to the low eat delay of cake, pizza and pie
• Example: Three summer pie bites (33 HP) can be consumed in the same time as a single manta ray (22 HP).
• Your next attack gets delayed for 3 ticks per eat (9 ticks for example above)

Reminder:

Combo foods = karambwans and gnome restaurant foods

Fast foods = Cake, pizza and pies

Pots = Sara brews, Guthix rest, Hunter butterfly jars, and buff potions

Hard foods = Every other regular food
