I've seen others recently, but the two I saw today are a Capital One commercial and a Progressive commercial.

In the first, the Capital One guy is talking to a couple of people. He is asked what he does for fun, and he does not know what to say. Then, they cut to him getting ready to sleep at the bank.

Another is the Progressive commercial where Flo talks with another woman about vacations. The other woman doesn't seem to know what a vacation is. Flo begins describing what one is. In the end, she says she doesn't really know, gives up, and says she's never been on one either.

I was thinking about them while driving and came to the title thought.

Original Title: TIL In 2006, Midas ran an "America's Longest Commute" award, won by electrical engineer Dave Givens. His commute was 186 miles each way, and he'd drink 30 cups of coffee per day. He was willing to make this long commute so that he could live in a scenic horse ranch.

I wanted to try to rufurbish this tiny electric motor, it sparked and stopped working awhile back, but I don't recognize this tape under the zip ties. If I can't find a 1:1 replacement what would you suggest I replace it with?

I have been a fan for years. This studio sucked at making a long waited anime a good start after so many years. It is not about how static scene duration etc. It is about cinematography. If the story requires you can do it. Remember first seasone it was always both. Everybody loves manga because the story is good and frames gives you the moment you need. Pauses and action as well as absurd cuts of action. Season one was great because anime was cinematographically followed manga. Season 3 looks like something is missing and it is the season 1 charm. BY THE WAY, PLEASE Do not quantify the things you dont know how it is done. These stupid charts measuring beauty of a work? ANYWAYS, We didnt come here to watch an average show without a good editorialship. Please fix it. I was expecting a feeling oh man I missed watching one punch man.

We all know whats a poor animation cmon we've seen blue lock s2, 7df, tbate.

Why are we coping with "the art looks good"/"its only talking no need for animation"? I thought this is anime not manga.

Mushoku, solo levelling, dms, bhna, csm talking episode has better animation and no one can prove that is wrong btw i repeat NO ONE

Imma be honest i can bet my whole organ that manga fan animation better than s3 ep.1

So, I'm trying to modify my cuphead game (due to most modding communities refusing to assist if you don't legally own it) but all the shit that used to have it on the open net, stripped it out due to "DMCA" crap due to "licensing", ugh, I figured the pirate community can hook me up with a safe malware free version that is totally got all the features pre-bundled, I'm code illiterate, I gotta get help to do most of this stuff, I love modding games but when it takes more than "Download from Gamebanana or Nexus mods and drag and drop, or edit a simple ini text file" I need assistance

Folks I had an idea about hallmark movies that I wanted to explore. I started writing up a short essay.

But everytime I thought I was coming to a close I'd get more and more ideas. I now have an 8k word essay about goddamn hallmark movies. Once I complete it I'm gonna post it here. But until then, I wanna hear everyone's opinions of the 'genre'.

  • What are your favourite hallmark films?
  • Do you like the genre?
  • What tropes do you enjoy?
  • Anything you find problematic?
  • Do you think they are feminist movies?
  • What are the most important features of a hallmark movie.
  • What to you is the core concept of the genre?
  • What are its defining philosophies?
  • Any plot points you like or dislike?
  • Any story beats you like or dislike?

Or any other addition you'd like to make here, I'd love to hear.

I'm genuinely excited to finish and share this. For the first time in my life am I excited to share smth I wrote.
