LAUNCH at 0628 UTC of a Soyuz-class rocket from Plesetsk. Suspected to be a Soyuz-2-1a/Fregat with a Meridian military comms satellite, but we'll have to wait for Space Force tracking to confirm that.

Australia must respond to Israel’s apartheid death penalty with sanctions.

The Jewish Council of Australia expresses its abhorrence at the Israeli government's new apartheid execution policy and the extremist ideology that fuels it.

The new death penalty law, which will apply automatically and without any means of appeal, has been deliberately crafted to only ever be imposed on Palestinian detainees.

“I’m serious as a heart attack,” he tells Gamble when the audio begins to play on the 14-minute body camera video. “I’m not gonna sit here and argue with you.”

He demands to know how she could possibly justify such an obscene display: “I would like to hear how you would explain to my children what you’re supposed to be.”

Talking to a colleague over his two-way radio after the encounter, Babb described what happened. Gamble was dressed “like a freakin’ weiner,” he says on the tape, so he ordered her to remove the costume. She refused, invoking her First Amendment rights.

“Am I being detained?” Gamble repeatedly asks Babb, who ignores the question and continues to scold her. “If I’m not being detained, I’m gonna go ahead and leave.”

When she turns to walk away, Babb steps forward and grabs her costume from behind, throwing her on her back. Angry protesters shout at Babb as he forces her to turn over. Two more cops help him pin Gamble on the grass and handcuff her.

“By the time I got there, the cops were stuffing an inflatable penis in the back of their car,” Rae said.

It was, on one hand, hilarious — a slapstick comedy bit brought to life. In the body camera footage, Babb tries and fails to fit Gamble into his own backseat, then hands her off to another officer, who escorts her to a different vehicle. Police wrestle with the oversized costume, ultimately failing to fit the unwieldy polyester penis into the car.

It was also disturbing. Gamble screams in pain in the video as the cops try to push her into the backseat, the handcuffs digging into her wrists. Babb asks where the zipper is and, as he peels off the penis suit, asks Gamble for her name.

She replies, “Aunt Tifa.”

I've repaired this worthless older generation Logitech G Hero mouse 5 times in two years, but after its most recent cleaning the 5 pin cable molex snapped and I feel absolutely no desire to keep this creature alive for another moment.

I had a similar cable failure on a Logitech keyboard awhile back, which admittedly I did fix and do plan to keep around because it's hard to find a mechanical keyboard with an aluminium body and also NOT completely covered to the teeth with rainbow LEDs.

Can anybody recommend me a good durable mouse, preferably not aimed at gamers?

https://redlib.catsarch.com/r/stupidpol/comments/1sbhsvc/the_american_hitler_and_the_morality_of_the/

For decades, one has been subjected to the moral lectures of petty-bourgeois journalists and academics, whose principal historical occupation has been to discover, in the conduct of the Bolsheviks and above all of Leon Trotsky, proofs of the supposedly sinister essence of Marxist “amoralism.” They have filled libraries with denunciations of revolutionary violence, meditations on the “authoritarian impulse,” and pious reflections on the alleged contempt of Marxists for ethical restraint.

Student youth and workers are instructed to believe that the central moral problem of the modern age lies in the intransigence of those who sought to overthrow capitalism. Yet these same circles, when confronted with the actual barbarism of imperialism, display remarkable forbearance. Their categorical condemnations dissolve into nuance. Their moral fervor wanes, and their hostility to violence becomes exquisitely selective. They find endless reserves of moral outrage—which has not subsided even after the passage of more than a century—over the Russian Revolution of 1917. But they are mute when the United States incinerates a society, when Israel buries children beneath rubble, when torture is systematized, when police execute the poor and the dispossessed in American streets. The class content of morality emerges here with extraordinary clarity.
